Judul ArtikelPERSEPSI MAHASISWA, CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR (CI), DAN PERAWAT RUANGAN TERHADAP EARLY CLINICAL EXPOSURE
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Background: Early clinical exposure is important in nursing education; however, nurses and students have not yet understood their responsibility and learning activities.Consequently, this has resulted in their achievement; and for now there is no research that has a deep analysis of early clinical exposure.
Objective: This research is aimed at identifying the difference between students, clinical instructor (CI), and nurses’ perceptions towards the early clinical exposure.
Method: A cross sectional design is used to measure the 157 respondents by the instrument of early clinical exposure perception.
Result: Most female respondents (64.3%) experience the early clinical exposure (96.2%) more than twice. Overall, the perception of the three groups is similar (p=0.523). Moreover, there is no different perception towards the implementation period (p=0.367), the target (p=0.056), and the clinic learning environment (p=0.098); but there is respondents’ perception difference towards the assignment suitability (p=0.012).
Conclusion: The early clinical exposure is effective because there is no different perception between the students, the clinical instructor (CI), and the nurses. Similarly, there is no difference in the implementation period, target, and clinic learning environment; but there is a difference in perceiving the assignment suitability.
