PENGARUH BANGSA SAPI LOKAL PADA PEMBERIAN PAKAN YANG SAMA TERHADAP KECERNAAN PROTEIN DAN SERAT KASAR

Penelitian berjudul “Pengaruh Bangsa Sapi Lokal pada Pemberian Pakan yang Sama Terhadap Kecernaan Protein dan Serat Kasar” dilakukan dengan bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh bangsa sapi lokal terhadap kecernaan protein kasar dan kecernaan serat kasar pada kondisi pakan dan lingkungan yang sama. Penelitian secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 16 ekor sapi lokal jantan yang terdiri dari sapi Bali Flores (R1), Madura Flores (R2), Peranakan Ongol (R3), dan sapi Madura (R4) masing-masing 4 ekor dan keempat jenis bangsa sapi tersebut sebagai perlakuan. Jerami padi diberikan secara adlibitum dan konsentrat diberikan sebanyak 2 kali sehari dengan imbangan 70:30. Peubah yang diukur yaitu kecernaan protein kasar dan kecernaan serat kasar. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa bangsa sapi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kecernaan serat kasar (P<0,01), namun tidak berpengaruh pada kecernaan protein kasar (P>0,05). Rataan kecernaan serat kasar bangsa sapi lokal R1: 73.18 ± 5.5%, R2: 51.64 ± 11.09%, R3 : 40.68 ± 14.78%, dan R4 : 56.46 ± 6.2% (P<0,01), sedangkan rataan kecernaan protein kasar bangsa sapi lokal R1 : 67.38 ± 10.7%, R2 : 80.39 ± 3,01%, R3 : 75.33 ± 6.2%, R4 : 70.37 ± 1.4% (P>0,05). Uji lanjut menggunakan uji DMRT menunjukkan bangsa sapi bali flores memiliki presentase nilai kecernaan serat kasar tertinggi diantara bangsa sapi lokal lainya yaitu sebesar (73.18%) yang berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01) dibandingkan sapi Madura Flores (51,64%), sapi Peranakan Onggole (40,68%) dan sapi Madura (56,46%).

The study entitled “The Effect of Local Cattle Breeds on the Same Feed on Protein and Crude Fiber Digestibility” was conducted with the aim of examining the influence of local cattle breeds on crude protein digestibility and crude fiber digestibility under the same feed and environmental conditions. The study was experimentally conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 16 male local cattle, consisting of Bali Flores cattle (R1), Madura Flores (R2), Peranakan Ongol (R3), and Madura cattle (R4), with 4 animals each, and these four cattle breeds as treatments. Rice straw was provided ad libitum and concentrate was given twice daily in a 70:30 ratio. The variables measured were crude protein digestibility and crude fiber digestibility. The results of the variance analysis showed that cattle breed had a highly significant effect on crude fiber digestibility (P<0.01), but had no effect on crude protein digestibility (P>0.05). The average crude fiber digestibility of local cattle breeds was R1: 73.18 ± 5.5%, R2: 51.64 ± 11.09%, R3: 40.68 ± 14.78%, and R4: 56.46 ± 6.2% (P<0.01), while the average crude protein digestibility of local cattle breeds was R1: 67.38 ± 10.7%, R2: 80.39 ± 3.01%, R3: 75.33 ± 6.2%, R4: 70.37 ± 1.4% (P>0.05). Further testing using the DMRT test showed that the Bali Flores cattle breed had the highest percentage of crude fiber digestibility among other local cattle breeds, at 73.18%, which was significantly different (P<0.01) compared to Madura Flores cattle (51.64%), Peranakan Onggole cattle (40.68%), and Madura cattle (56.46%).
