Pengaruh Salinitas Udara serta Volume Pembilasan terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Kubis (Brassica oleracea L.) pada Media Tanah Pasir Pantai

Lahan pasir pantai memiliki potensi untuk budidaya tanaman hortikultura, termasuk kubis (Brassica oleracea L.), meskipun menghadapi kendala seperti salinitas udara dan rendahnya kesuburan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh salinitas udara dan volume pembilasan terhadap pertumbuhan, fisiologi, dan hasil tanaman kubis di media tanah pasir pantai. Penelitian dilaksanakan di screen house Fakultas Pertanian Unsoed menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dua faktor dengan tiga taraf salinitas udara (0, 12, dan 24 mS/cm) dan tiga taraf volume pembilasan (0, 3,5, dan 7,0 mm), menghasilkan 9 kombinasi perlakuan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa salinitas udara menurunkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan kadar klorofil vegetatif secara signifikan. Volume pembilasan mempengaruhi kadar prolin vegetatif dan bukaan stomata generatif. Interaksi kedua perlakuan berpengaruh nyata hanya pada nilai kehijauan daun vegetatif. Temuan ini menunjukkan kemampuan adaptif tanaman kubis terhadap stres salinitas melalui mekanisme fisiologis internal.

Coastal sandy land in Indonesia offer potential for horticultural crop cultivation, including cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.), but face limitations such as air salinity and poor soil fertility. This study aimed to examine the effects of air salinity and water flushing volumes on cabbage growth, physiology, and yield in coastal sandy media. The experiment was conducted in a screen house at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, using a Completely Randomized Block Design with two factors: three air salinity levels (0, 12, and 24 mS/cm) and three water flushing volumes (0, 3.5, and 7 mm), resulting in 9 treatment combinations. Results showed that increased air salinity significantly reduced plant height, leaf number, and vegetative chlorophyll content. Water flushing significantly influenced vegetative proline accumulation and generative stomatal aperture. Interaction between the treatments significantly affected only vegetative leaf greenness. These findings suggest that cabbage plants can maintain productivity under saline stress through internal physiological adjustments.
