Perbedaan Performa Produksi Ayam Broiler Dengan Sistem Perkandangan Closed House Pada Lantai Yang Berbeda Di Kandang Zaini
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

ABSTRACT Background. This study aims to evaluate the differences in production performance of broiler chickens raised on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Zaini Cage with a Closed House cage system. This study was conducted during one maintenance period, namely from October 4 to November 13, 2023, in Cendana Village, Kutasari District, Purbalingga Regency, Central Java. The parameters analyzed included mortality, production index, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), feed consumption, body weight, and temperature and humidity of the cage environment. Materials and Methods. This study used Cobb A2 strain broiler chickens raised in the Zaini Cage with a population of 22,200 per floor. The feed given consisted of the type S00 for DOC up to 10 days of age, S11S up to 20 days of age, and S12S up to the finisher stage, including the thinning period until the final harvest. In addition to feed, this study also involved the use of drugs and various production equipment that support maintenance. All maintenance activities were followed directly during the study. The data obtained were analyzed using the Independent T-Test to evaluate differences between floors. Results. The results showed that the average temperature on the 1st floor (26.98 ± 0.45 ℃) was higher than the 2nd floor (26.64 ± 0.18 ℃), as well as higher air humidity on the 1st floor (77.8 ± 8.58) compared to the 2nd floor (72 ± 6.56). Total feed consumption during one maintenance period was recorded at 68,200 kg on the 1st floor and 66,900 kg on the 2nd floor. The average body weight of broiler chickens on the 1st floor reached 1012.8 ± 702.7 grams, while on the 2nd floor it was higher, namely 1098.4 ± 782.5 grams. Mortality rate on the 1st floor was recorded at 2.24 ± 0.94%, slightly higher than the 2nd floor which reached 2.02 ± 0.94%. The FCR value during the maintenance period showed that the 1st floor had a value of 1.269 ± 0.22, while the 2nd floor was 1.308 ± 0.18. The production index (IP) of chickens on the 2nd floor (369) was higher than that on the 1st floor (340). Although there were differences in the observed parameters, the results of statistical tests showed that the differences were not significant (P>0.05). Conclusion. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the production performance of broiler chickens kept on the 1st and 2nd floors during one period did not show significant differences (P>0.05) in terms of cage temperature and humidity, feed consumption, average body weight, mortality rate, FCR value, and production index.
