Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji apakah model pembelajaran teams games tournament
(TGT) berbantuan teka-teki silang (TTS) efektif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan 
kreativitas siswa kelas XI pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMAN 3 Purwokerto tahun pelajaran 
2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif quasy experimental design dengan 
nonequivalent control group design yang pada proses penelitian menggunakan dua kelas yaitu 
kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 98 siswa yang 
merupakan jumlah seluruh siswa kelas XI-F3 (jurusan ekonomi) di SMAN 3 Purwokerto. Teknik 
pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu Purposive Sampling. Oleh karena itu, sampel dalam 
penelitian ini diperoleh 66 responden yang terdiri dari siswa kelas XI-F3A sebagai kelas kontrol 
dan kelas XI-F3B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data dengan 
menggunakan uji independent sample t-test diperoleh: (1) pada variabel berpikir kritis nilai thitung
6,192 > ttabel 1,99962 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 pada aspek kognitif dan nilai thitung 2,958 > 
ttabel 2,00404 dengan signifikansi 0,005 < 0,05 pada aspek afektif, sehingga model pembelajaran 
TGT berbantuan TTS efektif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis baik pada aspek kognitif 
maupun afektif siswa. (2) pada variabel kreativitas nilai thitung 4,822 > ttabel 1,99962 dengan 
signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 pada aspek kognitif dan nilai thitung 4,050 > ttabel 1,99834 dengan 
signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 pada aspek afektif, sehingga model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan TTS
efektif terhadap kemampuan kreativitas siswa.

This research aims to examine whether the teams games tournament (TGT) learning model 
assisted by crossword puzzles (TTS) is effective in enhancing the critical thinking and creativity 
skills of eleventh-grade students in economics at SMAN 3 Purwokerto for the 2024/2025 
academic year. This study employs a quantitative quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent 
control group design, utilizing two classes in the research process, namely the control class and 
the experimental class. The population in this study consists of 98 students, which represents the 
total number of students in class XI-F3 (economics major) at SMAN 3 Purwokerto. The sampling 
technique used is Purposive Sampling. Therefore, the sample in this study comprises 66
respondents, consisting of students from class XI-F3A as the control class and class XI-F3B as the 
experimental class. The results of the research and data analysis using the independent sample t-
test obtained: (1) for the critical thinking variable, the t-value is 6.192 > t-table 1.99962 with a 
significance of 0.000 < 0.05 in the cognitive aspect and the t-value is 2.958 > t-table 2.00404 with 
a significance of 0.005 < 0.05 in the affective aspect, thus the TGT learning model assisted by TTS 
is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in both cognitive and affective aspects. 
(2) for the creativity variable, the t-value is 4.822 > t-table 1.99962 with a significance of 0.000 < 
0.05 in the cognitive aspect and the t-value is 4.050 > t-table 1.99834 with a significance of 0.000 
< 0.05 in the affective aspect, thus the TGT learning model assisted by TTS is effective in enhancing 
students' creativity skills.
