| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penambahan hormon testosteron dalam pengencer semen terhadap motilitas dan morfologi abnormal spermatozoa Kambing Peranakan Etawa (PE). Materi penelitian menggunakan semen kambing PE grade C umur 6 tahun dari BBIB Singosari Malang. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimental laboratorium menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan level testosteron sebagai perlakuan dan jumlah pemeriksaan sebagai ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah 4 perlakuan berupa penambahan hormon testosteron dalam pengencer dengan level testosteron 0µg, 250µg, 500µg, dan 750µg/ml pengencer dengan 8 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level testosteron berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap motilitas dengan nilai motilitas secara berurutan yaitu 5.00±0.1%, 10.63±1.8%, 10.63±1.8%, 6.25±2.3%. Sedangkan level testosteron terhadap morfologi abnormal spaermatozoa berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) dengan persentase morfologi abnormal yaitu 18.78±5.18%, 13.21±2.75%, 13.83±3.67%, 16.01±2.08%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah penambahan testosteron dalam pengencer Tris belum mampu mempertahankan motilitas spermatozoa semen kambing Peranakan Etawa grade C. Level testosteron 250µg/ml pengencer meberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap motilitas (10.63±1.8%) dan abnormalitas (13.21±2.75%) spermatozoa kambing Peranakan Etawa. Semakin rendah level testosteron yang ditambahkan dalam pengencer, maka semakin baik motilitas dan morfologi abnolmal. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of study was to determine the effect of testosterone addition in diluent to motility and abnormal morphology spermatozoa Peranakan Etawa (PE) goat. The research materials used is semen grade C PE goat aged 6 years from BBIB Singosari Malang. The research method is experimental laboratory with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) in which the level of testosterone as a treatment and total evaluation as repetition. The treatments used 4 treatment of testosterone in the form of addition diluent with testosterone level 0μg, 250μg, 500μg, and 750μg/ml diluent and 8 repetition. The results showed that the testosterone level was highly significant (P <0.01) on the motility with motility value sequentially is 5±0.1%, 10.63±1.8%, 10.63±1.8%, 6.25±2.3%. While testosterone level of spermatozoa abnormal morphology had significant (P <0.05) the percentage of abnormal morphology is 18.78±5.18%, 13.21±2.75%, 13.83±3.67%, 16.01±2.08%. The conclusion of the study is the addition of testosterone in Tris diluent not been able to maintain sperm grade C motility Peranakan Etawa goat semen. 250μg/ml diluent testosterone levels gave the best effect on sperm motility (10.63±1.8%) and abnormalities (13.21±2.75%) Etawa Crossbreed Buck. |
