| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Pulau Merbau merupakan salah satu pulau terluar di Indonesia yang berada di Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Riau, letak topografi berhadapan langsung dengan Selat Malaka. Hal tersebut menyebabkan Pulau Merbau mengalami abrasi cukup parah. Penelitian berjudul “Pendugaan Abrasi Pantai Berdasarkan Tingkat Kerapatan Mangrove Di Pulau Merbau Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Riau” bertujuan mengetahui panjang dan lebar abrasi, tingkat kerapatan mangrove, faktor lingkungan, hubungan panjang dan lebar abrasi dengan tingkat kerapatan mangrove dan faktor lingkungan. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Juni 2014. Metode penelitian adalah metode survey dengan teknik pengambilan sampel stratified sampling. Analisa data secara uji korelasi, regresi dan analisis spasial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan abrasi di Pulau Merbau termasuk kategori amat berat. Kerapatan tingkat semai dikategorikan buruk (<2000 ind/ha), kerapatan tingkat pancang dikategorikan buruk (<2500 ind/ha), kerapatan timgkat pohon dikategorikan baik (>1500 ind/ha). Faktor penyebab abrasi berdasarkan nilai korelasi paling kuat (r) adalah kerapatan mangrove, tinggi gelombang dan tekstur debu. Model estimasi panjang abrasi (Y1) dan lebar abrasi (Y2) terhadap faktor penyebab abrasi yaitu kerapatan mangrove, tinggi gelombang dan tekstur debu yakni (a) Y = 797 – 0.0022 X1 – 8.7 X2 – 17.2 X3 dan (b) Y = 8778 + 0.117 X1 – 238 X2 - 205 X3 dengan X1 = Kerapatan; X2 = Tinggi Gelombang; X3=Tekstur Debu |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Merbau Island is one of the outer island in Indonesia which is located in Meranti Island District, Riau. Merbau Island has location direct opposite with Selat Malaka. This condition caused abrassion of coast line in Merbau Island was criticaly. This research entitled “The Estimation of Abrassion Based Mangrove Density of Merbau Island In Meranti Island District, Riau” which had propose to determine length and width of abrasion, mangrove density, environment factor and to create relation model between length and width abrasion with mangrove density and environment factors. This research was conducted on juni 2014. The research method used survey methode with stratified sampling. Data analysis used correlation test, regression and spatial analysis. The result of this research showed that abrasion in Merbau Island was very critic. Seedlings density was categoriozed poor (<2000 ind/acre), saplins density also was poor (<2500 ind/acre). But trees density (diameter of stem >4 cm) was good (>1500 ind/acre). Based correlation coefesiens between mangrove density and environment factors with abrasion were concluded that mangrove density, wave height, dust texture were strong.
