Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemempanan lima agensia hayati (Pseudomonas fluorescens, Bacillus subtilis, Trichoderma harzianum, Beauveria bassiana, dan Metarhizium anisopliae) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Phytophthora palmivora secara in vitro, dan mengendalikan penyakit busuk buah kakao. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret hingga Oktober 2014 di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman dan di kebun kakao PT. Rumpun Sari Antan IV Desa Darmakradenan, Kecamatan Ajibarang, Kabupaten Banyumas. Pengujian in vitro menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang terdiri atas sembilan perlakuan dan dua ulangan. Antagonis yang digunakan adalah T. harzianum isolat jahe dan bawang merah, P. fluorescens isolat P60, P32, dan P8, B. subtilis isolat B11, M. anisopliae, dan B. bassiana. Penelitian lapang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicoba meliputi kontrol, pemberian BIO P60, pemberian T. harzianum isolat jahe, pemberian T. harzianum isolat bawang merah, dan pemberian fungisida. Variabel yang diamati meliputi persentase penghambatan uji antagonisme, kejadian penyakit, intensitas penyakit, laju infeksi, serta kandungan senyawa fenol (tanin dan hidrokuinon). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga antagonis memiliki angka yang tinggi pada uji kultur ganda, yaitu P. fluorescens isolat P60, T. harzianum isolat bawang merah, dan T. harzianum isolat jahe masing-masing sebesar 28,57, 57,14, dan 64,29%. Agensia hayati P. fluorescens P60 dan T. harzianum isolat jahe dan bawang merah mampu menekan perkembangan penyakit busuk buah kakao sampai 100%, menurunkan laju infeksi, serta meningkatkan pembentukan buah kakao.

Inggris)This research aimed at knowing the effectiveness of five biological agents (Pseudomonas fluorescens, Bacillus subtilis, Trichoderma harzianum, Beauveria bassiana dan Metarhizium anisopliae) in inhibiting the growth of the pathogen in vitro, and controlling the disease. The research was carried out on March to October 2014 at the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University and the cacao plantation of PT. Rumpun Sari Antan IV Darmakradenan Village, Ajibarang Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency. Completely Randomized Design was used in in vitro test with nine treatments and two replicates. The agents used were T. harzianum ginger and shallots isolates, P. fluorescens P60, P32, and P8 isolates, B. subtilis B11 isolate, M. anisopliae, and B. bassiana. Randomized Block Design was used in the field test with five treatments and five replicates. The treatments tested were control, application of Bio P60, T. harzianum ginger isolate, T. harzianum shallots isolate, and fungicide. Variables observed were inhibition percentage of the antagonism, disease incidence, disease intensity, infection rate, and phenolic compound contents (tannin and hydroquinone). Results of the research showed that three antagonists having high percentage at the dual culture test were P. fluorescens P60, T. harzianum shallots isolates, and T. harzianum ginger isolates as 28.57, 57.14, and 64.29% respectively. P. fluorescens P60 and T. harzianum ginger and shallots isolates could suppress the disease development 100%, decrease infection rate, and increase cacao pod formation.
