Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini berjudul Status Pencemaran Perairan Berdasarkan Biological Oxygen Demand dan Chemical Oxygen Demand di Muara Sungai Loji Kota Pekalongan. Limbah Bahan Organik merupakan sumber utama pencemaran yang terjadi Muara Sungai Loji Kota Pekalongan. Berbagai aktivitas di lokasi Muara Sungai Loji adanya pembuangan limbah domestik, Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI), bongkar muat kapal, dan lain sebagainya, berpotensi menghasilkan limbah yang dapat masuk ke dalam perairan pesisir. Masuknya limbah dari kegiatan tersebut dapat mengakibatkan pencemaran pesisir, bilamana tanpa dilakukan pengolahan terlebih dahulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan BOD, kandungan COD dan status pencemaran di Muara Sungai Loji Kota Pekalongan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan teknik Purposive Random Sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif dan menggunakan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kandungan BOD berkisar 2,06- 3,94 mg/L dan kandungan COD berkisar 38,67 – 62,67 mg/L. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukan bahwa stasiun pengamatan di Muara Sungai Loji Kota Pekalongan tidak tercemar.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)This study entitled Water Pollution Status Based on Biological Oxygen Demand and Chemical Oxygen Demand in Loji estuary, Pekalongan. Organic waste material is a major source of pollution that occurred in Loji Estuary, Pekalongan. Various activities at the site such as the Loji estuary domestic se wage, Fish Public Market Place (Tempat Pelelangan Ikan), loading and unloading ships, and so forth, which can potentially generate waste into coastal waters. Inclusion of waste from these activities can lead to coastal pollution, when without any prior processing. This study aims to determine the content of BOD and COD and assesing status of pollution in Loji estuary, Pekalongan. The method used was a survey method with purposive random sampling technique. The results showed that the BOD loadings range from 2,06- 3,94 mg/L and COD content ranged from 38,67 – 62,67 mg/L. The results indicated that Loji estuary, Pekalongan and its surrounding waters were considered unpolluted.
