Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara calving interval dengan umur ternak dan estrus post partum pada sapi Peranakan Ongole (PO) di Kecamatan Sumbang dan Kalibagor. Metode survei digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan sampel sebanyak 240 ekor induk betina yang pernah beranak minimal dua kali. Variabel yang diamati adalah calving interval, umur ternak dan estrus post partum. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis uji T, analisis regresi berganda kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sumbangan efektif dan sumbangan relatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rataan calving interval dan estrus post partum masih cukup tinggi yaitu 13,62 ± 1,92 bulan dan 3,54 ± 1,85 bulan. Analisis variansi regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa umur dan estrus post partum memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap calving interval, mengikuti persamaan garis Y = 10.223 + 0.013 X1 + 0.747 X2 dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0.735. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pada umur yang lebih muda (< 5 tahun) memiliki calving interval lebih pendek jika dibandingkan dengan yang lebih tua (>5 tahun). Estrus post partum terpendek dicapai oleh induk dengan umur < 5 tahun yaitu 21 hari, sedangkan pada usia > 5 tahun post partum estrus terpendek yaitu 2 bulan. Panjang calving interval memiliki hubungan erat dengan umur dan estrus post partum pada sapi PO di Kecamatan Sumbang dan Kalibagor, Banyumas.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of the research is to explore the realition among calving interval, age and postpartum estrus of crossbred Ongole cows (PO) at Sumbang and Kalibagor districts. The survey methods was used in the experiment with 240 cows with at least twice calving. The variables measured were calving interval, age of cattle and postpartum estrus. The analysis of data is using T-test analysis, multiple regression analysis and continued with the effective contribution and relative contribution. The result of this research shows that average calving interval and postpartum estrus are still high 13.62 ± 1.92 months and 3.54 ± 1.85 months. The analysis of the multiple variant regression shows that the age and estrus post partum have a signifikan relationship with calving interval. Y = 10,223 + 0013 0747 X1 + X2 with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0735. The conclusion of this research is cows with < 5 years old have a shorter calving interval compared to > 5 years of age. Postpartum estrus is achieved by holding the shortest aged <5 years is 21 days, while in > 5 years old cows the shortest post partum estrus is 2 months. The length of calving interval have a close relation with the age and estrus post partum of the PO cows in Sumbang and Kalibagor districts, Banyumas. |
