| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang : Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit kronik yang dapat menimbulkan dampak psikologis berupa depresi. Salah satu terapi yang dapat menurunkan tingkat depresi adalah bibliotherapy. Terapi ini dapat merubah pola pikir negatif individu menjadi pola pikir positif melalui media buku dengan tema tertentu untuk memperoleh cara-cara yang lebih positif dalam menghadapi masalahnya. Tujuan : Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bibliotherapy terhadap tingkat depresi pasien diabetes mellitus. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan pre experiment dengan pendekatan pre test and post test without control group design dilakukan di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 25 responden. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II). Analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji statistik non parametrik Wilcoxon. Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh bibliotherapy terhadap tingkat depresi pasien diabetes mellitus dengan p value<0,05 (p value=0,000). Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya perubahan presentasi tingkat depresi pasien, sebelum terapi terdapat 52% pasien dengan depresi sedang dan 48% depresi ringan. Setelah diterapi terdapat 4% depresi sedang, 84% depresi ringan dan 12% tidak depresi. Kesimpulan : Ada pengaruh yang signifikan bibliotherapy terhadap tingkat depresi sedang pada pasien diabetes mellitus. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background : Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that can cause psychological effects such as depression. One of the therapies that can reduce the level of depression is bibliotherapy. This therapy can change negative mindset someone into positive mindset through a book as a media with specific theme to obtain more positive mindset of dealing problems. Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of bibliotherapy on depression on level in diabetes mellitus patients. Methods : The study used pre experiment design with approaching pre test and post test design without control group conducted in RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Sampling used purposive sampling with total sampel were 25 respondents. The instruments that used in this research was the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II). Data analysis that used in this research was Wilcoxon non-parametric statistical test. Results : The result shows that there is influence of bibliotherapy towards depression level in patients diabetes mellitus with p value<0,05 (p value=0,000). This result is proved by changing of depression level presentation in patients, before therapy is found 52% patients with moderate depression and 48% patients with mild depression. After therapy is found 4% patients with moderate depression, 84% patients with mild depression, and 12% patients without depression. Conclusion : There is significant influence of bibliotherapy toward moderate depression level in diabetes mellitus patients. |
