Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan karakter anatomi daun dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan karakter anatomi daun dari masing-masing kultivar ubi jalar. kultivar yang diamati adalah ‘Cangkuang’, ‘Cilembu’, ‘Kidal’, ‘Sukuh’ dan ‘Ungu Tua’. penelitian ini menggunakan metode embedding dengan pewarna safranin 1% dalam alkohol 70%. variabel yang diamati adalah karakter anatomi daun dengan parameter tebal kutikula, epidermis, mesofil, ukuran stomata, serta jumlah stomata dan trikomata. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The aims of this research were to determine the anatomical characteristics and to determine differences of anatomical characteristics of the leaves of some cultivars of sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.). Five cultivars used to research are ‘Cangkuang’, ‘Cilembu’, ‘Kidal’, ‘Sukuh’ and ‘Ungu Tua’. The embedding method with 1% safranin staining in 70% alcohol used to making preparations of leaf anatomy. The variables measured were leaf anatomical characters with parameters of thick leaf cuticle, epidermis, mesophyll of leaves, the size and number of stomata and number of trikomata per 1 mm2 leaf area. There were no differences in the anatomical structure of the leaf but there were a difference in the size of epidermis, mesophyll, stomata and the number of stomata and trikomata. |
