| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh subtitusi konsentrat oleh tepung bulu olahan terhadap kecernaan bahan organik dan kecernaan lemak pakan ayam broiler.Materi yang digunakan adalah 60 ekor ayam broiler, kandang metabolis danBacillus Sp. MTS untuk fermentasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu, R0 (tanpa pemberian tepung bulu olahan), R1 (3% tepung bulu olahan), R2 (6 % tepung bulu olahan) , R3 (9 % tepung bulu olahan), R4 (12 % tepung bulu olahan), setiap perlakuan diulang 4 kali. Peubah yang diamati adalah kecernaan bahan organik dan kecernaan lemak pakan ayam broiler.Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung bulu olahan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap kecernaan bahan organik dan berpengaruh nyata (P<0.01) pada kecernaan lemak. Uji lanjut dengan menggunakan ortogonal polinomial diperoleh respon linier Y= 71,7235-0,263 X dengan nilai R2 = 67,5 %. Hasil pengamatan diperoleh rataan kecernaan bahan organik antara 71,50 % sampai dengan 75,90 % dan rataan kecernaan lemak antara 68,48 % sampai dengan 73,43 %. Teknik pengolahan tepung bulu secara fisik, kimia, dan biologis dengan cara fermentasi menggunakan Bacillus sp MTS dapat digunakan hingga 12% tanpa menyebabkan penurunan kecernaan bahan organik. |

Inggris) | The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of of substitution of concentrate by processed chicken feather meal and its effects on fat and organic matter digestibility of broiler feed.The materials used were 60 broiler chickens, metabolic cages and Isolates of Bacillus Sp. MTS for fermentation. The study was conducted with an experimental method in vivo using completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments. R0 (withoutany feathermeal), R1 (3%processed feather meal), R2 (6%processed feather meal), R3 (9%processed feather meal), R4 (12%processed feather meal). Each treatment was repeated 4 times. The observed variables are the digestibility of organic matter and fat digestibility of feed. Analysis of variance showed that the use of prosessed feather meal effect was not significantly effect in organic matter digestibility but it was significantly effect (P<0.01) on the digestibility of fat. Orthogonal polynomials analysis obtained linear response Y= 71,7235-0,263 X with the value R2 = 67,5 %. The averag of organic matter digestibility were 71,50 % up to 75,90 % and the average of fat digestibility were 68,48 % up to 73,43 %. Processing feather meal by physic chemical techniques and fermentation using Bacillus sp MTS can be used up to 12 % without causing a decrease in organic matter digestibility. |
