| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tingkat infeksi dan karakteristik morfologi Trichodina spp. pada sidat dipelajari dalam penelitian ini. Sampel sidat diambil dari Cilacap (alam) dan Kebumen (alam dan budidaya) yang masing-masing diambil sebanyak dua kali pada bulan Mei dan Juni. Hasil prevalensi pada permukaan tubuh Kebumen 1 sebesar 80%, Kebumen 2 44% , Cilacap 1 48% dan Cilacap 2 64%. Prevalensi pada insang Kebumen 1 sebesar 76%, Kebumen 2 32%, Cilacap 1 64%, dan cilacap 2 36%. Intensitas pada permukaan tubuh berturut-turut Kebumen 1, Kebumen 2, Cilacap 1 dan Cilacap 2 yaitu 7; 1; 2; 2 Trichodinid/sidat. Intensitas pada permukaan tubuh berturut-turut Kebumen 1, Kebumen 2, Cilacap 1 dan Cilacap 2 yaitu 4; 1; 2; 3 Trichodinid/sidat. Hasil pengamatan karakteristik morfologi didapat tiga jenis Trichodina yang digolongkan menjadi tipe 1, tipe 2, dan tipe 3. Trichodina tipe 1 dan tipe 3 memiliki bagian tengah adhesive disc yang terang sedangkan Trichodina tipe 2 memiliki memiliki struktur khusus pada bagian tengah adhesive disc. Rata-rata diameter adhesive disc tipe 1, 2 dan 3 berturut-turut 32,75; 25,35; 44 µm, ata-rata diameter denticle ring 18,65 ; 13,5; 30,5 µm dan rata-rata jumlah denticle ring sebanyak 22,1; 21,2; 23,5. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Infection level and morphological characteristic of Trichodina spp. were studied in this research. Eel samples were collected from Cilacap (wild) and Kebumen (wild and cultured) in May and June. Results showed that Kebumen 1 eel sample (cultured) have the highest parasite prevalencei, 80% on body surface and 76% on gill. Kebumen 1 sample showed also the highest intensity among the samples, 7 Trichodinid/eel on body surface and 4 Trichodinid/eel on gill. Based on morphological characteristics three types of Trichodina were found from eel samples. Trichodina type 1 had clear centre of adhesive disc. Diameter average of adhesive disc was 32,75 µm, while average of diameter denticle ring was 18,65 µm and average numbers of denticle ring as much 22,1. Type 2 had special structure in the centre of adhesive disc. Diameter average of adhesive disc was 25,35 µm, diameter average of denticle ring was 13,5 µm and average numbers of denticle ring was 21,2. Type 3 had clear centre in adhesive disc. Diameter average of adhesive disc was 44 µm, diameter average of denticle ring was 30,5 µm and average numbers of denticle ring was 23,5. |
