| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian berjudul Pengkayaan Minyak Ikan pada Pakan Buatan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Sintasan Ikan Lele Dumbo (Clarias gariepinus). Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengkayaan minyak ikan pada pakan buatan yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan benih ikan Lele dumbo. Penelitian dilaksanakan Juni sampai Juli 2014 di Balai Benih Ikan Pandak, Baturaden. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 4 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Empat perlakuan dalam penelitian yaitu pakan buatan yang tidak diperkaya minyak ikan; pakan buatan diperkaya minyak ikan 2,5%; pakan buatan diperkaya minyak ikan 5% dan pakan buatan diperkaya minyak ikan 7,5%. Ikan uji untuk penelitian mempunyai berat tubuh rata-rata 0,75±0,09 g/ekor, dipelihara dalam 16 akuarium berukuran 45 x 48 x 40 cm3 dan masing-masing ditebar dengan kepadatan 10 ekor dipelihara 30 hari. Variabel yang diamati pertumbuhan mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, laju pertumbuhan harian, efisiensi pemanfaatan dan sintasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan mutlak berkisar 2,89-7,87 g; laju pertumbuhan spesifik berkisar 6-98-9,34%/hari; laju pertumbuhan harian berkisar 0,10-0,28 g/hari; efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan berkisar 16,77-20,70%; dan sintasan 55-95%. Pakan yang diperkaya dengan minyak ikan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan, efisiensi pakan dan sintasan Lele dumbo. Kualitas air untuk suhu berkisar 24-29ºC, pH berkisar 6-7, oksigen terlarut 4,23-4,88 mg/L dan amonia terlarut 0,01-0,05 mg |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study entitled “Fish Oil Enrichment in Artificial Feed and Its Effect on Growth and Survival of Dumbo Catfish (Clarias gariepinus)”. The study aimed to determine the effect of fish oil enrichment in the best artificial feed on growth and survival rate of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The experiment was conducted from June to July 2014 in Pandak Fish Hatchery, Baturaden. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. Four treatments were applied in this research. They were artificial feed which was not enriched with fish oil; artificial feed enriched with 2.5% fish oil; artificial feed enriched with 5% fish oil and artificial feed enriched 7.5% fish oil. Fish sample which were used in this study had an average body weight of 0.75 ± 0.09 g g/fish, maintained in 16 aquariums (45 x 48 x 40 cm3) and spreaded at a density of 10 animals during 30 days. Variable which were observed in this study, includes absolute growth, spesific growth rate, daily growth rate, efficiency of feed utilization and survival rate. The results showed the absolute growth ranged from 2.89 to 7.87 g; spesific growth rate ranged 6.98 to 9.34%/day; daily growth rate ranged from 0.10 to 0.28 g/day; efficiency of feed utilization from 16.77 to 20.70% feed; and survival rate ranged from 55 to 95%. Feed enriched with fish oil affects the growth, efficiency of feed and survival rate of African catfish. Water quality temperature ranged from to 24-29ºC, pH ranged from 6-7, dissolved oxygen ranged from 4.23-4.88 mg/L and ammonia ranged from 0.01-0.05 mg/L. |
