Judul ArtikelPERKECAMBAHAN BENIH AREN (Arenga pinnata (wurmb) Merr.) PADA PERENDAMAN BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI LARUTAN KNO3 DAN GIBERELIN
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui interaksi perendaman beberapa konsentrasi larutan KNO3 dan giberelin pada perkecambahan benih aren, 2) Mengetahui perendaman beberapa konsentrasi larutan KNO3 pada perkecambahan benih aren, dan 3) Mengetahui perendaman beberapa konsentrasi larutan giberelin pada perkecambahan benih aren. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Screen House Fakultas Pertanian, Unsoed. Penelitian berlangsung selama kurang lebih 130 hari dan dilaksanakan dari bulan Juni 2013 sampai Nopember 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang dicoba terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu perlakuan larutan KNO3 dan giberelin, masing-masing 4 konsentrasi dengan 3 kali ulangan. Setiap unit perlakuan terdiri atas 50 benih aren. Perlakuan dilakukan dengan dua tahap yaitu tahap pertama perlakuan perendaman larutan KNO3 dan tahap kedua perlakuan perendaman larutan giberelin. Perlakuan yang dicoba meliputi K0 : Kontrol (tanpa perlakuan perendaman larutan KNO3), K1 : KNO3 0,5%, K2 : KNO3 1,0%, K3 : KNO3 1,5%, G0 : Kontrol (tanpa perlakuan perendaman larutan giberelin), G1 : Giberelin 150 ppm, G2 : Giberelin 300 ppm, dan G3 : Giberelin 450 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, perlakuan perendaman dengan larutan KNO3 dan giberelin tidak terdapat hubungan saling mempengaruhi terhadap perkecambahan benih aren dan belum mampu menaikkan perkecambahan benih aren secara berarti, konsentrasi perlakuan KNO3 0,5% dapat menaikkan nilai persentase perkecambahan, vigor benih, jumlah daun, dan jumlah tunas pada perkecambahan benih aren, dan konsentrasi perlakuan giberelin belum mampu menaikan daya kecambah di lingkungan perkecambahan panas dan intensitas cahaya tinggi.

Inggris)This study aims to: 1) Determine the interaction soaking some KNO3 solution concentration and gibberellins on seed germination of sugar palm, 2) Knowing soaking some KNO3 concentration on seed germination of sugar palm, and 3) Knowing some of the soaking solution concentration of gibberellins on seed germination of sugar palm. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture Screen House, Unsoed. The study lasted for approximately 130 days and carried out from June 2013 to November 2013. Research using completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments tested consisted of 2 factors, treatments and gibberellin solution of KNO3, respectively 4 concentration with 3 replications. Each treatment unit consisted of 50 sugar palm seeds. The treatment is done in two stages, the first stage of immersion treatments KNO3 solution and the second phase of treatment gibberellin soaking solution. The treatments tested include K0: control (no treatment soaking solution KNO3), K1: 0,5% KNO3, K2: 1,0% KNO3, K3: 1,5% KNO3, G0: control (no treatment gibberellin soaking solution), G1: Gibberellins 150 ppm, G2: Gibberellins 300 ppm, and G3: Gibberellins 450 ppm. The results showed that, soaking treatment with gibberellin solution of KNO3 and there is a linkage of mutual influence on sugar palm seed germination has not been able to raise the sugar palm and sugar palm seed germination significantly, the concentration of 0,5% KNO3 treatment can increase the germination percentage, seed vigor, leaf number, and the number of shoots on the seed germination of sugar palm, and the concentration of gibberellin treatment has not been able to increase germination in germination hot environments and high light intensity.
