| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Skripsi ini berjudul “Citra Perempuan Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Ibuk karya Iwan Setyawan”. Rumusan masalah yang terdapat dalam skripsi ini adalah (1) Bagaimanakah deskripsi tokoh dan penokohan, plot serta latar yang terdapat di dalam novel Ibuk karya Iwan Setyawan? (2) Bagaimanakah citra perempuan tokoh utama dalam novel Ibuk karya Iwan Setyawan? Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan tokoh dan penokohan, plot serta latar yang terdapat di dalam novel Ibuk karya Iwan Setyawan. (2) Mendeskripsikan citra perempuan tokoh utama dalam novel Ibuk karya Iwan Setyawan. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan fokus penelitian yang ditekankan pada citra perempuan tokoh utama dalam novel Ibuk karya Iwan Setyawan. Teknik dalam penelitian ini ada dua tahap, yaitu teknik pengumpulan data dan teknik analisis data. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara (1) Membaca berulang-ulang novel Ibuk karya Iwan Setyawan. (2) Mencatat data paling sesuai dengan fokus penelitian yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. (3) Mengklasifikasikan data yang telah diperoleh sesuai dengan kebutuhan penelitian. Selanjutnya data yang telah diperoleh dari sumber data utama dan sumber data tambahan dideskripsikan, serta dianalisis sesuai dengan teori yang digunakan, dan kemudian menyimpulkan data yang sudah diperoleh dengan fokus penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur intrinsik yang mewakili dalam novel ini meliputi tokoh dan penokohan, tokoh utamanya adalah Tinah/Ibuk yang digambarkan sebagai sosok perempuan yang cantik, sabar, tangguh, serta gigih berani. Plot/alur yang digunakan dalam novel ini adalah alur progresif/kronologis runtut dari awal, tengah hingga akhir cerita. Latar meluputi latar tempat, latar waktu dan latar sosial. Latar tempat yang dominan adalah kota Batu. Latar waktu yang terjadi adalah pagi, siang, dan malam. Latar sosial yang melatarbelakangi tokoh utama adalah berasal dari status sosial rendah. Citra perempuan tokoh utama yang menjadi masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah menempatkan tokoh utama dalam posisi yang lemah, selain itu ia juga digambarkan membiarkan dirinya terkurung dalam seluruh aktivitas domestiknya tanpa melakukan sesuatu apapun untuk dirinya sendiri. Hal itu terutama disebabkan oleh peran domestik yang disandangkan sebagai istri dan ibu rumah tangga yang membuatnya tidak mampu bergerak bebas menjadi seorang perempuan yang mandiri. Meski di sisi lain dia juga ditampilkan sebagai sosok perempuan yang tangguh serta gigih dalam hal mencapai tujuannya namun itu tidak cukup mewakili nilai-nilai feminisme dalam kritik sastra feminis yang menjadi acuan dalam penelitian ini. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This short thesis has title “Citra Perempuan Tokoh Utama dalam novel Ibuk Karya Iwan Setyawan”. The formulation of problem in this short thesis is (1) how is figure description and characterization, plot and background that occurs in the novel of Ibuk authored by Iwan Setyawan? (2) How is the female image as the main figure in the novel of Ibuk authored Iwan Setyawan? This short thesis aims to (1) describes the figure and characterization, plot and background that occurs in the novel Ibuk authored by Iwan Setyawan. (2) Describes the female image as the main figure in the novel of Ibuk authored by Iwan Setyawan. This research is categorized in the research of qualitative descriptive, by focusing the research that stresses in the female image as main figure in the novel of Ibuk authored by iwan Setyawan. Technique in this research has two stages, that are technique of collecting data and technique of data analysis. Technique of collecting data in this research is conducted with two ways (1) Read repeatedly the novel of Ibuk authored by Iwan Setyawan. (2) Records the data that has the most appropriate with the focus of research that related with the research. (3) Classifies data that has been obtained bases on the research needs. Subsequently data that has been obtained from the source of primary data and source of secondary data are described and analyzed according to the theory that is used in this research, and then concludes the data that has been obtained by focus of research. The result of research shows that the intrinsic element that represents in this novel involves the figure and characterization, its main figure is Tinah/Ibuk who is described as the beautiful female figure, patient, tough, and brave. Plot in this novel is the progressive plot/chain chronology from beginning, middle and end story. The background involves the background of place, time and social. Background of time which is dominant occurs in the City of Batu. Background of time occurs in the morning, afternoon, and night. Background of social that give the main figure background she comes from the low social status. The female image as the main figure that becomes the main problem in this research tends to put the main figure in the weak position, beside that she is also described to let her self to be locked in entire her activities without doing anything to her self. It is caused by her domestic role that has been attached as wife and household’s mother that makes him can not afford to move freely to become an autonomous female. Although the other side she also was presented as the tough female and hard work to achieve her purpose but it do not enough to represent the feminism values for the basic critic of feminism books that becomes the reference in this research. |
