| Judul Artikel | PENGARUH EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN JAMBU BIJI (Psidium guajava) TERHADAP LEUKOSIT DAN LIMFOSIT PADA TIKUS YANG DIINDUKSI COMPLETE FREUND’S ADJUVANT |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Jambu Biji (Psidium guajava) merupakan salah satu tanaman herbal yang telah terbukti sebagai antioksidan dan antiinflamasi sehingga berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai antiartritis. Migrasi sel-sel leukosit dari peredaran darah menuju jaringan sinovium serta keberadaan limfosit yang teraktivasi antigen diduga berperan dalam proses inflamasi dan kelainan autoimun pada rheumatoid arthritis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak etanol daun P. guajava terhadap leukosit dan limfosit pada tikus SD jantan yang diinduksi complete freund’s adjuvant (CFA). Tikus SD jantan dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok dan terdiri dari 10 ekor tikus. Kelompok I merupakan kontrol atritis yang diberi perlakuan induksi CFA. Kelompok II merupakan kelompok yang diberi perlakuan deksametason dengan dosis 3 mg/kg BB i.p setiap 2 hari sekali. Kelompok III-V merupakan kelompok perlakuan ekstrak etanol daun P. guajava dengan dosis sebesar 250 mg/kg BB, 500 mg/kg BB dan 750 mg/kg BB. Setiap kelompok diinduksi dengan CFA secara intradermal sebanyak 0,2 ml pada hari ke-1 dan 0,1 ml CFA (1 mg/ml) pada hari ke-5. Ekstrak diberikan pada hari ke 14-28 setelah induksi CFA. Pengambilan darah untuk penghitungan jumlah leukosit dilakukan sebelum dan setelah perlakuan ekstrak etanol, yaitu pada hari ke-13 dan 29, sedangkan pengambilan jaringan untuk pengamatan limfosit per 100 leukosit pada hari ke-29. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun P. Guajava memiliki pengaruh terhadap penurunan jumlah leukosit dalam darah dan jumlah limfosit pada jaringan tikus yang diinduksi complete freud’s adjuvant (CFA). Dosis efektif menurunkan jumlah leukosit dalam darah dan jumlah limfosit pada jaringan adalah ekstrak etanol daun P.guajava dosis 750mg/kgBB. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Psidum guajava is one of herbal plants which have been proven as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Migration of leukocytes from blood circulation to synovium joints and the existence of lymphocyte activated antigens was assumed involves in inflammatory process and autoimmune disorder in rheumatoid arthritis. The aims of this study were to determine the effect of extract ethanol of P.guajava leaves in rats againts leukocyte and lymphocytes induced by Complete Freund’s Adjuvant. This study used rats were divided into 5 groups (n=10). Group I (arthritis control), which induced CFA only. Group II (dexamethason control), which induced dexamethason 3 mg/kgBB twice a day. Group III-V which induced CFA followed by the ethanol extract of P.guajava leaves was administered each dose 250, 500, 750mg/kgBB po. Induction CFA (1 mg/ml) 0,2 ml intradermal performed on 1st day and 0,1 ml on day 5th, and then the P. guajava extract was given on 14th until 28th day. Adoption blood to determined total leukocytes count were did pre and post, on days 13th and 29th while adoption joint for observations of histological were did on 29th day. Result of this study showed that the extract of P.guajava leaves has activity by decreased total leukocytes and lymphocytes in rats induced Complete Freund’s Adjuvant. The best dose to decreased leukocytes and lymphocytes is extract of leaves of P.guajava is 750 mg/kgBB. |
