| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Jalan kawasan wisata Baturraden adalah jalan utama menuju tempat wisata Baturraden dan banyak dilalui kendaraan bermotor. Mengingat kawasan tersebut adalah kawasan wisata maka tertib lalu lintas dalam berkendara sangat penting ditegakkan oleh polisi di kawasan tersebut. Tingkat kecelakaan yang tinggi mendorong adanya peran polisi lalu lintas dalam membina tertib lalu lintas di kawasan tersebut. Adapun fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah peran polisi lalu lintas dalam membina masyarakat tentang tertib lalu lintas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengungkapakan peranan polisi lalu lintas (Polantas) dalam membina masyarakat terhadap tertib lalu lintas dalam berkendara di jalan kawasan wisata Baturraden. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan peran polisi lalu lintas (Polantas) beserta faktor pendorong dan penghambat dalam membina masyarakat di jalan kawasan wisata Baturraden. Peran Polantas Baturraden dalam membina masyarakat terhadap tertib lalu lintas dalam berkendara di jalan kawasan wisata Baturraden dilakukan dengan upaya preventif dan represif. Faktor yang mendorong peran polantas dalam melaksanakan tertib lalu lintas di jalan kawasan wisata Baturraden adalah adanya motivasi yang tinggi dari anggota masyarakat guna menciptakan keamanan dan ketertiban lalu lintas. Faktor penghambat peran Polantas adalah jumlah personil yang terbatas, sarana dan prasarana, faktor anggaran dan faktor masyarakat.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The road of area in Baturraden tourism is main road to Baturraden tourism place and many vehicles passed around. To consider that area is a tourism place so traffic rules in driving or riding are prominently uphold by police in that area.The high level of traffic accident stimulates the role of traffic police in governing traffic rules in that area. As, the focus of this research is about the traffic polices’ roles in fostering civilian toward the traffic rules. The purpose of this research is to express the role of traffic police (Polantas, an Indonesian abbreviation from traffic police) in fostering the civilian concerning the traffic rules in driving or riding around Baturaden tourism area. The result of this research describes about the role of traffic police (Polantas) along stimulant and obstacle factors in fostering the civilian in the road of Baturraden tourism area. The role of Baturraden traffic police in fostering people toward traffic rules in driving or riding on the road around Baturraden area implemented with the preventive and reparative effort. The factor that stimulates the role of traffic police in implementing the traffic rules on the road around Baturadentourism area is the high motivation from the members of civilian in order to create security and regularity in traffic. The obstacle factors from traffic police is the amount of limited police personnel, facility and infrastructure, budget factor, and civilian factor.
