Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakter fisiologi dan hasil varietas padi gogo potensi toleran kekeringan yang ditanam di lahan tadah hujan. Faktor yang dicoba menggunakan 11 varietas padi, dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) tiga kali ulangan. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Banjarsari Wetan, Kecamatan Sumbang, Kabupaten Banyumas dari Juni 2013 sampai Desember 2013. Variabel yang diamati terdiri atas karakter fisiologi meliputi kadar prolin daun, kadar klorofil daun, laju asimilasi bersih (LAB), laju pertumbuhan tanaman (LPT), laju pertumbuhan relatif (LPR), dan komponen hasil meliputi jumlah malai, panjang malai, jumlah biji per malai, bobot 1000 biji, bobot biji per rumpun, dan bobot biji per petak. Karakter fisiologi yang optimum ditunjukkan oleh varietas Sunggal dengan laju pertumbuhan tanaman minggu ke-3 (0,048 g/minggu), minggu ke-6 (0,424 g/minggu), minggu ke-9 (8,094 g/minggu), laju pertumbuhan relatif minggu ke-9 (0,96 g/minggu), kadar klorofil daun (44,20 unit), kadar prolin daun (81,17 µg.g-1) dan varietas Danau Tempe dengan laju pertumbuhan tanaman minggu ke-3 (0,037 g/minggu), minggu ke-6 (0,398 g/minggu), minggu ke-9 (5,661 g/minggu), laju pertumbuhan relatif minggu ke-9 (0,87 g/minggu), kadar klorofil daun (42,17 unit) kadar prolin daun (140,07 µg.g-1). Namun demikian, kedua varietas tersebut menunjukkan hasil rendah yaitu (0,74 t/ha) dan (1,46 t/ha).
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Objective of this study was to know physiology character and yield of upland rice variety drought tolerant potential which planted in rainfed area. Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 11 rice varieties by three replications were tested. The research was conducted in Banjarsari Wetan village, Sumbang district, Banyumas regency on June 2013 until December 2013. Observed variables consist of the physiology character viz. leaf proline content, leaf chlorophyll content, net assimilation rate, crop growth rate, relative growth rate, and yield components viz. panicle number, panicle length, number of grain per panicle, 1000 grain weight, grain weight per hill, and grain weight per area. The result showed optimum physiology characters were shown by Sunggal variety with the crop growth rates in 3, 6, 9 weeks of (0,048 g/week), (0,424 g/week), (8,094 g/week), respectively, relative growth rate in ninth week (0,96 g/week), leaf chlorophyll content (44,20 unit), leaf proline content (81,17 µg.g-1) and Danau Tempe variety with the crop growth rate in third week (0,037 g/week), sixth week (0,398 g/week), ninth week (5,661 g/week), relative growth rate in ninth week (0,87 g/week), leaf chlorophyll content (42,17 unit), leaf proline content (140,07 µg.g-1). However both varieties gained low yield of (0,74 t/ha) and (1,46 t/ha).
