| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini mengambil judul “Variasi Dialek Bahasa Jawa di Kabupaten Cirebon (Kajian Sosiodialektologi)”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan variasi dialek bahasa Jawa Cirebon dalam tataran fonologi dan leksikon serta mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan perbedaan tersebut secara sosial. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data yaitu data lisan yang berbentuk tuturan dialek masyarakat di tiga titik pengamatan (TP) yang berbeda di Kabupaten Cirebon. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pupuan lapangan dan daftar tanya swadesh dengan teknik dasar pancing dan teknik cakap bertemu muka. Kemudian, analisis data menggunakan metode padan translasional yang alat penentunya berupa bahasa lain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa terdapat variasi fonologi dan leksikon pada Dialek Bahasa Jawa di Kabupaten Cirebon. Pada variasi fonologi terdapat tiga variasi. Pertama, variasi perubahan bunyi, yaitu bunyi -a, -o, dan -O. Kedua, variasi pergantian konsonan pada suku kata awal dan akhir. Ketiga, variasi penambahan bunyi dan konsonan pada suku kata awal dan tengah. Kemudian ditemukan variasi leksikon yang terjadi pada tiga TP yang dipengaruhi oleh letak geografis ketiga TP. Dari faktor sosial ditemukan empat kelas sosial yang memengaruhi pemakaian bahasa pada tiga TP. Keempat kelas sosial tersebut yaitu kelas sosial ‘bawah bawah’, kelas sosial ‘bawah atas’, kelas sosial ‘menengah bawah (pendidikan SMA)’, dan kelas sosial ‘menengah bawah (pendidikan S1)’. Dari keempat kelas sosial yang ada pada tiga TP, kelas sosial ‘bawah bawah’ mendominasi variasi pemakaian leksikon di tiga TP, sedangkan variasi fonologis ditemukan di kelas sosial ‘menengah bawah (pendidikan SMA)’. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The tittle of this research is “Variasi Dialek Bahasa Jawa di Kabupaten Cirebon (Kajian Sosiodialektologi)”. The purpose of this research was to describe dialect variations of Cirebon Javanese language in the phonology and the lexicon level and describe the factors that cause the difference in social. This research in one of qualitative descriptive study with data source is oral data in form of speech dialect of communities in three different observation points (TP) in Cirebon. Data collection using interview method and a list of frequently asked swadesh with basic fishing techniques and face to face conversation techniques. Then, the analysis data using translational equivalent method and using another language as a determinant tool. Based on this research, it is known that there are variations in phonology and the lexicon in dialect of Cirebon Javanese language. On phonological variation, there are three variations, the first is the changes in sound variation, they are sound -a, -o, and -O. Second, consonant transfer variations at the beginning and the end of the syllable. Third, additional sounds and consonant variations at the beginning and the middle syllable. Then it was found lexicon variation that occurred in three TP that influenced by geographical location of the three TP. In social factors researcher found four social class that affect the use of language in three TP. The fourth class is 'down under' social class, 'bottom up' social class, 'lower middle’ social class (high school education), and 'lower middle social class’ (Bachelor education). From the four social classes that exist in three TP, 'down under' social class dominates the variation usage lexicon in the three TP, whereas phonological variation found in ‘lower middle’ social class (high school education). |
