Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kecernaan karbohidrat dan produksi gas total formula milk replacer (MR) berbahan dasar tepung limbah surimi dan tepung ampas kecap secara In vitro dan mendapatkan formula MR dengan kecernaan karbohidrat dan produksi gas total yang tinggi. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 10 September 2013 sampai 30 November 2013 di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materi penelitian menggunakan formula MR yang terdiri atas bahan basal (30% susu skim, 20% bungkil kelapa, 9,4% tepung tapioka, 0,5 % mineral dan 0,1% probiotik), tepung limbah surimi dan tepung ampas kecap serta cairan rumen kambing. Metode penelitian adalah secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) untuk kecernaan karbohidrat dan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) untuk produksi gas total. Perlakuan yang diujicobakan terdiri atas MR0, MR1, MR2, dan MR3. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan sangat berpengaruh nyata terhadap kecernaan karbohidrat dan produksi gas total (P<0,05). Berdasarkan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ) kecernaan karbohidrat masing-masing perlakuan dan kontrol sangat berbeda nyata (MR0 94,17 ± 0,25%a vs MR1 62,83 ± 0,34%b vs MR3 51,96 ± 0,53%d vs MR2 51,95 ± 0,47%c). Produksi gas total antara kontrol dan perlakuan sangat berbeda nyata, namun antara MR2 dan MR3 tidak berbeda nyata (MR2 41,468 ± 0,482%a = MR3 42,172 ± 0,787%a). Kesimpulan dari penelitian menyatakan bahwa formula MR1 merupakan milk replacer terbaik dengan kecernaan karbohidrat dan produksi gas total terbaik dibandingkan formula MR lainnya.


Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) The research aimed to evaluate Carbohydrate Digestibility and Total Gas Production of Goat Milk Replacer Based on Surimi Waste Powder and Ketchup Dregs Powder by In Vitro and to get the MR formula with high carbohydrate digestibility and total gas production. The experiment was conducted from September 10th 2013 to November 30th 2013 in the Animal Nutrition and Feed Science Laboratory, Animal Science Faculty, University of Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. The materials of the research were MR formula consisted of basal materials (30 % skim milk, 20 % coconut meal , 9.4 % tapioca powder, 0.5 % mineral and 0.1 % probiotics), surimi waste powder and ketchup dregs powder and goat rumen fluid. The method of the reaserch was an experimental, using completely randomized design (CRD) for the carbohydrate digestibility and randomized block design (RBD) for the total gas production. The treatments that were tested consisted of MR0, MR1, MR2, and MR3. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by Honestly Significant Difference Test (HSD). The results showed that the treatment gave highly significant effect on the carbohydrate digestibility and total gas production (P < 0.05). Based on the honestly significant difference test (HSD) each of the carbohydrate digestibility treatment and control were significantly different (MR0 94.17 ± 0.25% a vs MR1 62.83 ± 0.34 % b vs MR3 51.96 ± 0.53 % d vs MR2 51.95 ± 0.47 %c ). Total gas production between control and treatment were significantly different. However, between the MR2 and MR3, there were no significant differences ( MR2 41.468 ± 0.482 % a = MR3 42.172 ± 0.787 %a). The conclusion of the reaserch is that the MR1 formula is the best of all with the best carbohydrate digestibility and total gas production.
