| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang : Teknik menyusui merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi ASI, semakin baik teknik menyusui proses pemberian ASI juga akan semakin lancar. Pengetahuan ibu tentang teknik menyusui yang benar sangat penting sebab perilaku yang didasari pengetahuan akan lebih langsung diterima dari pada perilaku yang tidak didasari oleh pengetahuan. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan tentang teknik menyusui dengan praktik menyusui di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Purwokerto Selatan. Metode : Penelitian ini bersifat cross sectional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa consecutive sampling. Sampel merupakan ibu menyusui dengan usia bayi 0-6 bulan yang berjumlah 66 responden. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Somers’d. Hasil : Mayoritas responden (69,7%) memiliki pengetahuan teknik menyusui yang baik, dan 75,8% responden dapat mempraktikkan teknik menyusui dengan baik. Hasil uji Somers’d didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 dan nilai r = 0,426 yang berarti ada hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan tentang teknik menyusui dengan praktik menyusui yang benar. Kesimpulan : Semakin tinggi pengetahuan tentang teknik menyusui maka semakin baik praktik menyusui yang benar pada ibu menyusui. Saran : Perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan yang mencakup motivasi ibu untuk memberikan ASI ataupun faktor lain yang dikaitkan dengan praktik menyusui dengan analisis multivariat. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background : Breastfeeding technique is one of many factors which affects mother’s milk production. The better feeding techniques, the process of breastfeeding will also be smoothly. Knowledge of mothers about proper breastfeeding techniques is very important because behaviour based on knowledge will be instanly accepted. Objective: The aimed of this research is to know the relationship between breastfeeding technique and breastfeeding practice in Community Health Center of Purwokerto Selatan. Method : The research used cross sectional design with consecutive sampling. The sample were mother who have baby in 0-6 months age. The total of respondent were 66 respondents. Bivariate analysis used Somers’d test. Result: The majority (69,7%) of respondents had a good knowledge of breastfeeding technique, and 75,8% of respondents practicing good breastfeeding technique . The result test of Somers’d got value of p=0,000 and r=0,426 which mean there is a significant relationship between the knowledge of breastfeeding technique with the appropiate breastfeeding practices. Conclusion : Respondents with better knowledge of breastfeeding technique have better breastfeeding practice. Recommendation : Further research needs to be conducted that includes mothers motivation to breastfeed or other factors associated with breastfeeding practices using multivariate analysis. |
