| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 13 Juli sampai dengan tanggal 3 Agustus 2013 di Kabupaten Cianjur. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu 1) Mengetahui kinerja ekonomi usaha ayam pelung di Kabupaten Cianjur yang terdiri dari pendapatan, efisiensi, dan BEP. 2) Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan, efisiensi, dan BEP usaha ayam pelung di Kabupaten Cianjur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan metode pengambilan sampel lokasi menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan metode pengambilan sampel responden menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Besarnya sampel yang diambil adalah 55 responden. Responden adalah peternak dan usaha ayam pelung di Kabupaten Cianjur yang terdapat di Kecamatan Gekbrong, Kecamatan Warungkondang, Kecamatan Campaka, Kecamatan Cilaku, Kecamatan Sukaresmi, dan Kecamatan Cipanas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rataan pendapatan usaha ayam pelung sebesar Rp 3.941.252 pertahun, rataan efisiensi ekonomi (R/C) yaitu 1,42, dan rataan break even point yaitu 14,72. Hasil menunjukan bahwa variabel jumlah kepemilikan ternak dan jumlah anggota keluarga berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan dengan tingkat signifikansi masing-masing yaitu 99 persen dan 90 persen; variabel lama beternak, jumlah kepemilikan ternak, dan jumlah anggota keluarga berpengaruh terhadap efisiensi ekonomi dengan tingkat signifikansi masing-masing yaitu 90 persen, 99 persen, dan 95 persen; serta variabel jumlah kepemilikan ternak berpengaruh terhadap break even point dengan tingkat signifikasi 99 persen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa usaha ternak ayam pelung di Kabupaten Cianjur telah dapat dikategorikan sebagai usaha yang baik. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research was conducted from July 13th until August 3rd in Cianjur Regency. The purposes of this research were 1) To determine the economic performance pelung chicken business in Cianjur which consists of revenue, efficiency, and BEP. 2) To know the factors that affected revenue, efficiency, and BEP of pelung chicken businesses in Cianjur. The method used was survey method, using purposive sampling for location and purposive sampling method for respondents. The amount of sample taken were 55 respondents. The respondents were chicken farmers and businesses of pelung in Cianjur, located in District of Gekbrong, District of Warungkondang, District of Campaka, District of Cilaku, District of Sukaresmi, and the District of Cipanas. The results showed that the average revenue of pelung chicken, was Rp 3,941,252 per year, the average of economic efficiency (R / C) was 1.42, and the average of break even point was 14.72.
