| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Anggrek Phalaenopsis amabilis (L.) Blume merupakan salah satu tanaman yang cukup popular dikalangan masyarakat. Permintaan tanaman hias khususnya Anggrek seperti P. amabilis di pasar Internasional semakin meningkat. Untuk memenuhi permintaan anggrek tersebut, diperlukan bibit anggrek dalam jumlah banyak dalam waktu yang singkat. Alternatif untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut di antaranya dengan menggunakan teknik kultur in vitro. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian bubur ubi jalar terhadap pertumbuhan sub kultur bibit anggrek P. amabilis serta menentukan perlakuan yang paling baik untuk pertumbuhan sub kultur bibit anggrek P. amabilis. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan pemberian bubur ubi jalar dengan varietas yang berbeda yaitu sukuh dan cilembu dengan dosis 0 g/l, 50 g/l, 100 g/l, 150 g/l, 200 g/l, masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Parameter utama yang diukur adalah jumlah daun pada umur 6 dan 12 mst, panjang daun terpanjang pada umur 12 mst, jumlah akar pada umur 12 mst, dan panjang akar rata-rata pada umur 12 mst. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan bubur ubi jalar pada media sub kultur memberikan respon terhadap parameter jumlah daun pada umur 6 mst dan 12 mst, dan pada parameter jumlah akar pada umur 12 mst, akan tetapi pemberian bubur ubi jalar tidak memberikan respon pada parameter panjang daun terpanjang dan panjang akar rata-rata bibit anggrek P. amabilis. Penambahan bubur ubi jalar varietas sukuh dengan dosis 50 g/l memberikan respon yang paling baik pada parameter jumlah daun pada umur 6 mst dan 12 mst, dan parameter jumlah akar pada umur 12 mst bibit anggrek P. amabilis |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The Phalaenopsis amabilis (L.) Blume is one the most popular plant in the community. Demand for ornamental plants, especially orchids like P. amabilis in the international market has increasing. To meet the demand for orchids, orchids seeds required in large quantities in a short time. Alternative to overcome these obstacles include using in vitro culture techniques. This study was aimed to determine the effect of sweet potato puree as the sub-culture media for grow of orchids seedlings P. amabilis, as well as the best treatment for growing sub-culture of P. amabilis seedlings. This study used an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) applying sweet potato puree from to different varieties namely sukuh and cilembu with a dose 0 g/l, 50 g/l, 100 g/l, 150 g/l and 200 g/l, each treatment was repeated 3 times. The main parameter was observed by number of leaves at the age of 6 and 12 mst, longest leaf length of 12 mst, number of roots at the age of 12 mst and average root length at the age of 12 mst. The results showed that the addition of sweet potato puree on the sub culture medium gave respond on the parameters the number of leaves at the age of 6 and 12 mst, and the parameters of roots at the age of 12 mst but the addition of sweet potato puree had not response on the parameters of the longest leaf length and average root length of orchid seeds of P. amabilis. The addition of puree sweet potato of Sukuh varieties with a dose of 50 g/l showed the best response on the parameters the number of leaves at the age of 6 and 12 mst, and the parameter the number of root at the age of 12 mst orchid seeds of P. amabilis. |
