Indonesia) | HUBUNGAN UMUR, JENIS KELAMIN DAN POLA CEDERA EKSTREMITAS BAWAH DENGAN STATUS DISABILITAS AKIBAT KECELAKAAN LALU LINTAS PERIODE AGUSTUS SEPTEMBER 2012 DI IGD RUMAH SAKIT ORTHOPAEDI PURWOKERTO Abstrak Latar Belakang : Penyebab cedera paling banyak di seluruh dunia adalah kecelakaan lalu lintas. Kecelakaan lalu lintas menyebabkan kematian dan disabilitas (kecacatan) yang dapat meninggalkan beban penyakit dan perubahan besarbagi individu. Disabilitas dapat dinilai menggunakan status disabilitas. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan umur, jenis kelamin, dan pola cedera ekstremitas bawah dengan status disabilitas akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas periode Agustus September 2012 di IGD Rumah Sakit Orthopaedi Purwokerto. Metode : Desain penelitian adalah cross sectional dengan30 responden dan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Variabel independen adalah umur, jenis kelamin, lokasi cedera, dan jenis cedera sementara variabel dependen adalah status disabilitas. Hasil :Umur pasien didominasi kelompok 12-25 tahun yaitu 14 pasien (46,7%). Jenis kelamin pasien didominasi kategori laki-laki yaitu 22 pasien (73,3%). Jenis cedera didominasi kategori fraktur yaitu 17 pasien (73,3%). Lokasi cedera didominasi kategori cruris dan ankle yaitu 16 pasien (53,3%). Terdapat 24 pasien (80,0%) dengan status disabilitas tidak bermasalah dan 6 pasien (20%) dengan status disabilitas bermasalah. Analisis Kolmogorov Smirnov untuk mengetahui hubungan umur dengan status disabilitas menunjukkan angka 0,809 dan untuk mengetahui hubungan lokasi cedera dengan status disabilitas menunjukkan angka 0,181. Analisis Fisher untuk mengetahui hubungan jenis kelamin dan status disabilitas menunjukkan angka 0,155 dan untuk mengetahui hubungan jenis cedera dengan status disabilitas menunjukkan angka 0,360. Oleh karena p>0,05 maka tidak terdapat hubungan umur, jenis kelamin, lokasi cedera, dan jenis cedera dengan status disabilitas pada penelitian ini. Inggris) | ASSOCIATION BETWEEN AGE , SEX AND THE PATTERN OF LOWER EXTREMITY INJURY WITH DISABILITY STATUS DUE TO TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN THE PERIOD FROM AUGUST TO SEPTEMBER 2012 AT IGD RUMAH SAKIT ORTHOPAEDI PURWOKERTO Abstract Background : The cause of most injuries in worldwide is traffic accidents. Traffic accidents cause death and disability which can leave the burden of disease and a major change for the individual . Disability can be assessed using the disability status. Objective : This study aims to determine the relationship between age, sex, and the pattern of lower extremity injury with disability status due to traffic accidents in the period from August to September 2012 at IGD Rumah Sakit Orthopaedi Purwokerto. Methods : The study design was cross-sectional with 30 respondents and collecting data using questionnaires. Independent variables were age, sex, location of injury , and type of injury while the dependent variable is the disability status. Results : Age of patients dominated with 12-25 years group ie 14 patients (46.7%). Patient sex dominated with male category ie 22 patients (73.3%). The type of injury is dominated with fracture category ie17 patients (73.3%). Location of injury dominated with cruris and ankle category ie 16 patients (53.3%). There were 24 patients (80.0%) with non problematic disability status and 6 patients (20%) with problematic disability status. Kolmogorov Smirnov analysis to determine the association between age with disability status shows the number 0.809 and to determine the association between the location of injury with disability status shows the number 0.181. Fisher analysis to determine the association between gender and disability status shows the number 0.155 and to determine the association between the type of injury with disability status shows the number 0.360 . Therefore, p>0.05 then there is no association between age, sex, location of injury, and type of injury with disability status in this study.
