| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menjelaskan bagaimana tingkat literasi fungsional kemampuan menulis teks prsedur pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah. (2) menemukan faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat literasi fungsional kemampuanmenulis teks prosedur pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah.Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah gabungan kuantitatif-kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif digunakan untuk menemukan bagaimana literasi fungsional kemampuan menulis teks prosedur pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah sedangkan metode kualitatif digunakan untuk menemukan faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi literasi fungsional kemampuan menulis teks prosedur pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini adalah tingkat literasi fungsional kemampuan menulis teks prosedur pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah adalah sangat baik dengan persentase 87,5%. Selanjutnya, faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat literasi fungsional kemampuan menulis teks prosedur pada siswa adalah sebagian siswa tidak pernah mendapatkan pengalaman buruk selama mempelajari Bahasa Inggris, siswa telah mengenal Bahasa Inggris di usia dini, dan siswa memiliki waktu yang cukup untuk belajar. Di samping itu, siswa telah mendapatkan materi yang sama di kelas sebelumnya. Sebagian siswa telah mengetahui bahasa Inggris, ada dukungan dari keluarga, kehadiran siswa baik dan ada motivasi dari guru dan ada pengaruh dari teman dan lingkungan. |

Quantitative method is used to find out how the functional literacy level on student’s English writing skill in procedure text found in the ninth grade Students of SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah meanwhile qualitative method is used to find out the factors that influence the functional literacy level on student’s English writing skill in procedure text found in the ninth grade Students of SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah. The subjects in this research are the ninth grade in SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah. The data are collected through test, interview, and questionnaire.The results reveal that functional literacy level on student’s English writing skill in procedure text found in the ninth year Students of SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah was in very good category, with percentage 87,5%. In addition, the factors that influence the functional literacy level on student’s English writing skill in procedure text are most of the students never get bad experience in English, the students have known English in their early age, and the students have enough time of learning. Besides, the students have got the same material in their grade before, most students have exposed in English, there were family supports in some students, the presence of learning is well, and there was motivation from the teacher and there were influences from their friends.
