| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | RINGKASAM Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Struktur Novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk Karya Tere Liye”. Analisis struktural dalam novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk terdiri dari tema, amanat,alur, tokoh dan penokohan dan latar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis struktur yang terdapat dalam novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk. Sumber data terdiri dari data primer dan sekunder. data primer berasal dari novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari luar karya sastra, seperti internet Berdasarkan hasil analisis struktural pada novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye ini dapat disimpulkan. Tema dalam penelitian ini adalah perjuangan untuk membela kebenaran dalam berpolitik. Thomas, seorang konsultan politik muda yang memperjuangkan kebenaran dalam berpolitik walaupun harus mempertaruhkan hidupnya. Demi memperjuangkan JD untuk memenangkan konvensi partai politikTokoh pendamping dalam cerita ini terdiri dari Maggie, Kris. Maryam. Opa Chan Kadek, Lee,. Rudi dan Om Liem Latar dalam novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk terdiri dari latar tempat dan waktu. Latar tempat yaitu di Indonesia dan Hongkong sedangkan latar waktu kejadian adalah pagi, siang, sore dan malam.Amanat yang terdapat dalam novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye adalah memperjuangkan kebenaran, loyalitas dalam berpolitik, kesetiaan dalam berpolitik, loyalitas dalam bekerja, kesetiaan dalam berteman, sifat pantang menyerah dan sifat berani mengambil resiko. Alur yang terdapat dalam novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk terdiri dari tahap situation (merupakan tahap pembukaan cerita, pemberian informasi awal), tahap Generating Circumstances (pemunculan konflik, masalah-masalah dan peristiwa-peristiwa yang menyulut terjadinya konflik yang dimunculkan), Tahap Rising Action (peningkatan konflik), tahap klimaks dan tahap Denouement yaitu tahap penyelesaian. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | SUMMARY This research is entitled “Structural Analysis of Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk, A Novel by Tere Liye”. The structural analysis in the novel entitled Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk consists of theme, message, plot, character and characterization, and setting. This research employs qualitative method aiming at explaining the structural analysis found in Tere Liye’s Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk. The data source consists of the primary and the secondary data. The primary data are taken from the novel, Tere Liye’s Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk whereas the secondary data are from other than the novel, such as the internet. Based on the structural analysis of Tere Liye’s Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk, it can be concluded that the theme is the struggle to fight for the truth in the political world. Thomas, a young politic consultant, must struggle to fight for the truth in the politics although he has to risk his own life in order to win JD in the political party convention. The supporting characters in this novel are Maggie, Kris, Maryam, Opa Chan Kadek, Lee, Rudi and Om Liem. The setting of this Tere Liye’s Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk is the setting of time and the setting of place. The setting of place is in Indonesia and Hongkong whereas the setting of time is in the morning, at noon, in the afternoon, and at night. The message given in Tere Liye’s Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk is to struggle for the truth, to be loyal and to be faithful in politics, to be loyal in working, to be faithful for friendship, to never give up, to have courageous characteristics and to dare taking risks in life. The plot in Tere Liye’s Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk consists of Situation stage (i.e. story-opening stage, giving the initial information), Generating Circumstance stage (i.e. conflict appearing, problems and sequences stimulating the conflicts), Raising Action (i.e. the raising time of the conflict), Climax and Denouement Stage, that is the resolution stage. |
