| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | PERBEDAAN SELF CARE KAKI PENDERITA DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 DENGAN ULKUS DAN TANPA ULKUS DI RSUD PROF. DR. MARGONO SOEKARJO PURWOKERTO ABSTRAK Dena Afriyanti1, Yunita Sari2, Sulistiani3 Latar belakang: Diabetes melitus tipe 2 adalah penyakit gangguan metabolik yang disebabkan karena insulin tidak berfungsi dengan baik. Penyakit ini selalu meningkat dari tahun ketahun. Peningkatan penyakit diabetes melitus selalu diikuti dengan komplikasi yaitu ulkus diabetikum. Pencegahan merupakan langkah pertama dalam menyelamatkan kaki diabetes melitus. Self care kaki yang teratur akan mencegah atau mengurangi terjadinya komplikasi kronik pada kaki penderita diabetes melitus. Self care kaki yang dapat dilakukan meliputi perawatan kaki, pencucian kaki, pengeringan kaki, pemotongan kuku, menjaga kelembutan kaki, penggunaan alas kaki, dan pencegahan cedera pada kaki. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan self care kaki penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan ulkus dan tanpa ulkus di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 72 responden yaitu 36 responden ulkus diabetikum dan 36 responden tanpa ulkus diabetikum. . Instumen yang digunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan uji Man-Whitney. Hasil: Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan self care kaki penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan ulkus dan tanpa ulkus dengan uji Man-Whitney diketahui bahwa nilai p=0,000 (p< α = 0,05). Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan self care kaki penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan ulkus dan tanpa ulkus di RSUD Prof. Dr.Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FOOT SELF-CARE FOR DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2 PATIENTS WITH ULCUS AND THOSE WITHOUT ULCUS IN RSUD PROF. DR. MARGONO SOEKARJO, PURWOKERTO ABSTRACT Dena Afriyanti1 Yunita Sari2 Sulistiani3 Background: Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a metabolic disorder due to defects in insulin action. The number of cases related to this disease is increasing every year, and the cases are mostly followed with complication, that is ulcus diabeticum. Preventive effort is the first step to save the foot of patients with diabetes mellitus. Regular treatment through foot self-care will prevent or reduce the risk of complication on the foot of patients with diabetes mellitus. The self-care practices include washing the foot, keeping the foot dry, cutting the toenails, using lotion, protecting the food by wearing sock or shoes, and avoiding any foot injury. Purpose: This research aims to find out the difference between the practices of foot self-care for the patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 with ulcus and those without ulcus in RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo, Purwokerto. Method: This research used cross-sectional design. The sampling method applied was purposive sampling. There were 72 respondents for the research. 36 respondents were the patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 with ulcus while the other 36 were those without ulcus diabeticum. The instrument used was questionnaire, and it was analyzed using Man-Whitney test. Findings: The results of the analysis shows that there is a difference between self-care practices on foot for patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 with ulcus and those without ulcus. Using Man-Whitney test, it is found that p value=0,000 (p<α = 0,05). Conclusion: There found a different treatment regarding self-care for foot of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 with ulcus and those without ulcus as practised in RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo, Purwokerto.
