Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui isolat bakteri antagonis yang efektif untuk mengendalikan hama S. exigua, (2) mengetahui instar larva S. exigua yang rentan terhadap perlakuan bakteri antagonis (3) mengetahui kemempanan bakteri antagonis sebagai anti peletakan telur pada imago S. exigua, dan (4) mengetahui kemempanan bakteri antagonis sebagai anti penetasan telur S. exigua. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Penelitian terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu, tahap pertama uji patogenitas bakteri dan tahap kedua uji anti peletakan telur dan tahap ketiga anti penetasan telur. Rancangan percobaan untuk uji patogenitas bakteri dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial, faktor pertama terdiri dari lima taraf (bakteri Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, Bacillus thuringiensis, insektisida kimia (profenofos), dan kontrol) dan faktor kedua (larva S. exigua instar 3 dan larva S. exigua instar 4. Rancangan percobaan untuk uji anti peletakan telur dan anti penetasan telur Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan (bakteri Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, Bacillus thuringiensis, insektisida kimia (profenofos), dan kontrol). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, dan B. thuringiensis mampu mengendalikan hama S. exigua, mortalitas larva yang ditimbulkan secara berturut-turut 47,288%, 50,307%, dan 42,635%, serta dapat mengurangi umur larva secara berturut-turut 20%, 17%, dan 17%. Larva S. exigua instar 3 dan instar 4 mempunyai tingkat kerentanan yang sama terhadap perlakuan Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, dan B. thuringiensis. Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, dan B. thuringiensis tidak mampu menekan peletakan telur oleh imago S. exigua. Bacillus B8, dan Bacillus B11 mampu menekan penetasan telur S. exigua sebesar 69% dan 55%.

Inggris)This study goal to (1) determine an effective antagonist of bacterial isolates to control pests S. exigua, (2) determine instar larvae of S. exigua are susceptible to bacterial antagonist treatment, (3) determine susceptible bacterial antagonists as anti oviposition on the imago S. exigua, and (4) determine susceptible bacterial antagonists as ovicidal activity of S. exigua. This study was carried on in the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, University Jenderal Sudirman. The study consisted of three stages, the first stage of bacterial pathogenicity test, the second test phase anti oviposition and tree test of ovicidal activity. Experimental design to test the pathogenicity of bacteria with randomized block design (RBD) factorial, the first factor consists of five level (Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, Bacillus thuringiensis, chemical insecticides (profenofos), and control) and the second factor (instar larvae of S. exigua 3 and 4 instar larvae of S. exigua. Experimental design to test anti oviposition and ovicidal activity randomized block design (RBD) with treatment (Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, B. thuringiensis, chemical insecticides (profenofos), and control ). The variables measured were the symptoms in the test insects, larval mortality, larval age after treatment, appetite larvae, the number of groups of eggs laid, and the number of eggs that hatched.Outcome of results showed treatment Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, and B. thuringiensis capable of controlling pests S. exigua, larvae mortality caused respectively 47.288%, 50.307% and 42.635%, and can reduce the life of the larvae, respectively 20%, 17%, and 17%. Larvae of S. exigua instar instar 3 and 4 have the same level of susceptibility to treatment Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, and B. thuringiensis. Bacillus B8, Bacillus B11, and B. thuringiensis was not able to suppress oviposition by imago S. exigua. Bacillus B8, and Bacillus B11 suppressed the hatching eggs of S. exigua by 69% and 55%.
