Indonesia) | Penelitian dilakukan untuk memperoleh data terkini tentang kondisi kualitas perairan; kondisi terumbu karang; persepsi nelayan; danhubunganantarakondisi kualitas perairan, kondisi terumbu karang,danpersepsi nelayan tentang TWP Gili Matra. Gambaran tersebut diharapkan dapat menambah data dan informasi sebagai dasar pengelolaan kawasan konservasi TWP Gili Matra, terutama dalam penentuan zonasi kawasan.Penelitiandilakukan pada bulan Februaridan Maret 2013 dengan purposive sampling. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kondisi terumbu karang adalah dengan line intercept transect(LIT). Kondisi kualitas perairan di TWP Gili Matra tergolong baik.Meskipun, beberapa lokasi memiliki parameter yang berada di luar kisaran baku mutu kualitas air laut untuk karang berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No. 51 Tahun 2004. Parameter yang berada di luar kisaran baku mutu adalah kadarsalinitasdanjumlahsampah. Kondisi terumbu karang di TWP Gili Matra, terutama di Gili Meno tergolong baik (37,79%) dibandingkan dengan Gili Air (29,86%) dan Gili Trawangan (24,21%) berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No. 4 Tahun 2001 tentang Kriteria Baku Kerusakan Terumbu Karang. Persepsi nelayan tentang TWP Gili Matra, terutama di Gili Meno tergolong baik (83%) dibandingkan dengan Gili Air (33%) dan Gili Trawangan (17%) berdasarkan wawancara dengan nelayan. Secara umum, kondisi kualitas perairan yang baik di Gili Meno cenderung mengakibatkan kondisi terumbu karangnya baik, sehingga masyarakatnya berpersepsi baik. Sebaliknya, kondisi kualitas perairan yang baik di Gili Air dan Gili Trawangan, tetapi kondisi terumbu karang di Gili Air (kasus perusakan terumbu karang) dan Gili Trawangan (kasus perusakan terumbu karang dan daerah pariwisata) kurang baik, sehingga persepsi masyarakatkurang baik. |

Inggris) | This research is carried out to find the latest data about the water quality condition; the coral reefs condition; the fishermen’s perception of Gili Matra Water Park; and the relationship among water quality condition, the coral reefs condition, and the fishermen’s perception of Gili Matra Water Park. The result is hoped to give more data and information as the basis to manage the conservation area particularly to specify the zoning district.The research conducted in February and March 2013 by purposive sampling. The coral reefs are collected by the method of line intercept transect (LIT). The result shows that the water quality in Gili Matra Water Park is classified into good category although some locations have different parameter from the standard marine quality based on the Decree of the Environment Ministry Number 51/2004. The different parameter are the salinity and amount of garbage. The coral reefs condition in GiliMatra water park, especially in Gili Meno, are considered to be in good condition (37.79%) compared to the coral condition in Gili Air (29.86%) and Gili Trawangan (24.21%) based on the Decree of the Indonesian Ministry of Environment Number 04/2001. Fishermen’s perceptionabout Gili Matra water park, especially in Gili Meno is good (83%) compare to perception in Gili Air (33%) and Gili Trawangan (17%) based on interview with fisherman’s. In general, the good quality of the water in Gili Meno tends to make the good condition of the coral reefs; and this has resulted in the public positive perception. In contrast, the water quality in Gili Air and Gili Trawangan is good, but it is not supported by the good condition of the coral reefs in Gili Air (coral reefs destruction) as well as in Gili Trawangan (a case of coral reef and tourist resort destructions); so that the public perception is less well. |
