Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelompok Tani Ternak Wanita Karya, pada tanggal 2 Agustus sampai 30 September 2013. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan berbagai level tepung bunga rosella terhadap produksi telur dan konversi pakan ayam Arab. Materi yang digunakan adalah ayam Arab betina umur 34 minggu sebanyak 60 ekor. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental secara in vivo menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Jumlah perlakuan sebanyak empat level, setiap perlakuan diulang lima kali. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah penggunaan level tepung bunga rosella, yang menjadi perlakuan adalah level tepung bunga rosella dalam pakan pada R0, R1, R2 dan R3 masing-masing 0%, 2%, 4% dan 6%. Peubah yang diamati yaitu produksi telur dan konversi pakan. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan diuji lanjut menggunakan Uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian produksi telur (HDP) pada R0 = 65,67 ± 4,18%, R1 = 63,11 ± 5,87%, R2 = 52,00 ± 12,56%, dan R3 = 55,22 ± 12,04%, konversi pakan pada R0 = 2,99 ± 0,21, R1 = 3,16 ± 0,28, R2 = 3,87 ± 1,09, dan R3 = 3,67 ±1,06. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung bunga rosella dalam ransum ayam Arab berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap Hen Day Production dan konversi pakan. Dapat disimpulkan penggunaan tepung bunga rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) level 0%, 2%, 4%, dan 6% dalam ransum ayam Arab menghasilkan produksi telur dan konversi pakan yang relatif sama.

Research was held at Farmer Livestock Women Work, on September 2nd until September 30th 2013. The research objective was to determine the effect of different levels of flower powder of rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) in rations of Arabian hens on the egg production and feed conversion ratio. The materials were 60 Arabian hens aged 34 weeks. The research carried out by the experimental method in vivo using completely randomized design (CRD). Number of the treatments were four, including five times replications. The treatment was level of rosella powder in feed, consisted of R0, R1, R2 dan R3 were 0%, 2%, 4% dan 6% respectively. The variables observed were egg production of Arabian hens and the feed conversion ratio. The data were analyzed using variance analysis and then were analysed with Honesty Significant Difference (HSD). The results of egg production of Arabian hens (Hen Day Production) were R0 = 65,67 ± 4,18%, R1 = 63,11 ± 5,87%, R2 = 52,00 ± 12,56%, and R3 = 55,22 ± 12,04%, feed conversion ratio were R0 = 2,99 ± 0,21, R1 = 3,16 ± 0,28, R2 = 3,87 ± 1,09, and R3 = 3,67 ±1,06. The analysis results showed that the use of rosella powder in rations of Arabian hens were not significant (P>0.05) of Hen Day Production and feed conversion ration. The conclusions of the study on using rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) powder levels 0%, 2%, 4%, and 6% in ration of Arabian Hens made the same production and feed conversion ratio.
