| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Aktivitas industri tekstil menghasilkan limbah cair yang mengandung polutan berupa logam berat, padatan tersuspensi atau zat organik. Methyl orange merupakan zat warna golongan azo yang banyak digunakan dalam industri tekstil sangat sulit didegradasi. Degradasi fotokatalitik merupakan teknologi yang mudah, murah dan efektif untuk menghilangkan polutan-polutan organik dan anorganik dari limbah cair industri tekstil. Metode dilakukan dalam sistem TiO2-UV. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TiO2-UV dapat mengoksidasi zat warna methyl orange limbah cair industri tekstil pada pH optimum 2 dan waktu kontak 120 menit dengan persentase degradasi 99,79%. |
