Peningkatan jumlah penumpang dan pergerakan pesawat terbang setiap tahunnya berdampak pada kebutuhan runway dalam melayani pesawat terbang di Bandar Udara Internasional Achmad Yani Semarang, Melihat kondisi ini, kebutuhan panjang runway existing berperan penting dalam mendukung kelancaran kegiatan operasional Bandara Udara. Perhitungan desain runway terhadap pesawat terbang existing, meliputi Panjang dan Lebar Runway, Runway Shoulder, Runway Strip, RESA, Clearway, Stopway, masih dapat melayani pesawat terbang existing dengan baik, kecuali panjang runway pesawat terbang existing untuk pesawat Boeing B737-800 kurang 36 m dan B737-900 kurang 27 m, sehingga perlu diadakan penambahan panjang runway dan fasilitas lainya yang berkaitan, sehingga lebih aman dalam melakukan kegitan penerbangan di Bandar Udara Internasional Achmad Yani Semarang. Perhitungan desain runway terhadap pesawat terbang rencana yaitu Boeing 767-300, AirBus A330-200, dan AirBus A380 meliputi panjang dan lebar runway, runway shoulder, runway strip, RESA, clearway, stopway ternyata dimensi dari Runway dan fasilitas lain tidak memenuhi dalam melayani pesawat terbang rencana, karena dimensi runway yang dibutuhkan untuk pesawat terbang rencana Boeing 767-300 Panjang : 2889 m dan Lebar 55 m, AirBus A330-200 Panjang : 3009 m dan Lebar 67,8 m, AirBus A380 Panjang : 3611 dan Lebar 87,3 m, sedangkan pada kondisi existing dimensi dengan Panjang : 2680 m dan Lebar : 45 m. sehingga perlu dilakukan pemanjangan runway existing atau perencanaan runway baru agar dapat melayani pesawat terbang rencana tersebut. |
