Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian berjudul “Pengaruh Perlakuan Fisik dan Kimiawi terhadap Kadar Serat Kasar dan Gross Energy Konsentrat Protein Bungkil Biji Jarak”, dilaksanakan 12 Januari sampai 20 Maret 2013 di Laboratorium Ilmu Bahan dan Makanan Ternak Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. Metode penelitian adalah experimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 2 x 3 x 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas dua faktor, faktor A (konsentrasi SDS), yaitu A1=0,173 g/l dan A2=0,346 g/l, dan faktor B (lama perendaman), yaitu B1=12 jam ; B2=24 jam ; B3=36 jam. Kesimpulannya bahwa konsentrasi SDS (0,173 gr/l dan 0,346 gr/l) dan lama waktu perendaman (12jam, 24jam, 36jam) belum mampu menurunkan kadar serat kasar dan gross energy konsentrat protein bungkil biji jarak.

Inggris)A research entitled “Effect of Physical and Chemical Treatments on Crude Fiber and Gross Energy Contents of Protein Concentrate Obtained from Jatropha curcas Seed Meal”, was conducted from January 12th to March 20th 2013 in Feed science Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science Jenderal Soedirman University Purwokerto. Experimental study was conducted using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial 2 x 3 x 4. The treatment consists of two factors, factor A (SDS concentration), i.e. A1 = 0.173 g/l and A2 = 0.346 g/l, and factor B (soaking time), i.e. B1 = 12 hours; B2 = 24 hours; B3 = 36 hours. The conclusion is SDS cocentration and soaking time have no effect on reducing crude fiber and gross energy contents of jatropha curcas seed meal.
