Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Sifat mekanis suatu bahan berhubungan dengan pengaruh kekuatan yang diberikan pada bahan tersebut. Pengukuran shear bond strength dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi dan melihat karakteristik perlekatan bahan adhesif dan restoratif. Kandungan bahan adhesif methacrylate adalah monomer hidrofobik (Bis-GMA) dan monomer hidrofilik (HEMA). Berbeda dengan resin komposit methacrylate, resin komposit silorane mempunyai sistem adhesif khusus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan shear bond strength resin komposit berbasis methacrylate dan silorane pada restorasi sandwich dengan menggunakan basis RMGIC. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental laboratoris. Sampel penelitian ini adalah menggunakan 34 silinder bahan restorasi yang terdiri dari 17 sampel kelompok restorasi sandwich antara RMGIC dan resin komposit methacrylate, dan 17 kelompok restorasi sandwich antara RMGIC dan resin komposit silorane. 16 sampel pada tiap kelompok dilakukan pengukuran shear bond strength dilakukan dengan alat Torsee’s Digital System Universal Testing Machine, dan 1 sampel tiap kelompok diuji SEM. Hasilnya dicatat dan dihitung menggunakan rumus shear bond strength kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji independent t-test dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan bermakna terhadap karakteristik perlekatan dan nilai shear bond strength antara resin komposit methacrylate dan silorane. Nilai shear bond strength RMGIC dan resin komposit silorane lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata kekuatan geser perlekatan RMGIC dan resin komposit methacrylate.

Meansuring of the shear bond strength were to evaluated and look the material attachment characteristics of adhesive and restorative in sandwich restoration. Methacrylate adhesive system contents of hydrophobic monomers (Bis-GMA) and hydrophilic monomer (HEMA). Unlike methacrylate adhesive system, silorane based resin composite has a special adhesive system that designed in accordance with the silorane matrix is Silorane Adhesive System. This research to determine the differences of shear bond strength between RMGIC with methacrylate based composit and silorane based composit using different adhesive systems in sandwich restorations. This research was experimental laboratory. Sample was using a 34 cylinder restorative materials consist of 17 sample was using RMGIC and methacrylate based composite and 17 sample was using RMGIC and silorane based composite. Shear bond strength measurement using Torsee's Digital System Universal Testing Machine in 16 sample each group and SEM measurement in 1 sample each group. The results were recorded and calculated using the formula then shear bond strength test were statistically analyzed using independent t-test with a confidence level of 95% then showed different characteristic and value of shear bond strength between methacrylate based composite and silorane based composite. The value of shear adhesion strength of RMGI and silorane based composite higher than RMGIC and methacrylate besed composite.
