Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Perbedaan ketinggian di wilayah dataran rendah dan dataran tinggi tinggi akan berpengaruh terhadap kelimpahan tungau predator familia Phytoseiidae. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan relatif tungau predator familia Phytoseiidae pada tanaman singkong di dataran rendah dan dataran tinggi. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah tungau predator dari familia Phytoseiidae yang diperoleh dari tanaman singkong yang ditanam di dataran rendah dan dataran tinggi yaitu di kebun singkong Desa Tegal Kamulyan, Cilacap dan Desa Garung, Wonosobo. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara sistematis. Penentuan titik pengambilan sampel pada lokasi penelitian menggunakan metode diagonal dan titik tengah sisi perkebunan singkong. Sampel berupa daun singkong diambil sebanyak 5 tangkai daun dari tiap titik di setiap sudut dan bagian tengah kebun. Pengambilan sampel diulang sebanyak 4 kali, dengan interval waktu 1 minggu. Seluruh daun singkong diperiksa di bawah mikroskop stereo dan dihitung jumlah tungau predator familia Phytoseiidae yang ditemukan. Data pendukung yang diamati antara lain temperatur, kelembaban udara dan curah hujan. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis variansi multivariat dengan uji beda nyata terkecil pada tingkat kesalahan 20% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan dengan tingkat kesalahan yang sama. Hasil menunjukkan, bahwa kelimpahan relatif tungau predator Amblyseius sp. dan Phytoseius sp. di wilayah Cilacap dan Wonosobo tidak dipengaruhi oleh temperatur maupun kelembaban udara, kelimpahan relatif tungau Amblyseius sp. dan Phytoseius sp. di Cilacap dan Amblyseius sp. di Wonosobo juga tidak dipengaruhi oleh stadium. Namun, didapatkan hasil yang berbeda pada tungau predator Phytoseius sp. di Wonosobo, hasil menunjukkan bahwa kelimpahan relatif tungau predator Phytoseius sp. di dataran tinggi (Wonosobo) dipengaruhi oleh stadium.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The differences of altitude in the lowlands and highlands will affect the abundance of predatory mites from Phytoseiidae family. The number of the relative abundance of mites Phytoseiidae family and Tetranychus urticae will give affect to each other. The aim of this research is to determine the relative abundance of predatory mites Phytoseiidae family on plantation of cassava in the lowlands and highlands. The material used in this study are predatory mites of family Phytoseiidae obtained from cassava grown in the lowlands and the highlands in Cilacap and Wonosobo in the plantation of cassava. The material used in this research are predatory mites of family Phytoseiidae were obtained from cassava plants which grow in the plantation of cassava, Tegal Kamulyan village, Cilacap and Garung village, Wonosobo. This Research use survey methods with a systematic sampling technique. Samples were taken from each of four corners, sides, and the midlle of the designated cassava plantation of each location. From each sampling point, 5 petioles of cassava leaves were taken, and were repeated 4 times, with an interval of one week. All cassava leaves were examined under a stereo microscope and the predatory mites found were counted. Additional data, temperature, air moisture, and humadity were recorded. The data were collected and analyzed using the method of univariate analysis with the error rate 20%, if the result shows the significant or very significant differences, there will be further testing using Duncan test at the same error rate. The Results showed that the relative abundance of predatory mites Amblyseius sp. and Phytoseius sp. in Cilacap and Wonosobo was not affected by temperature and humidity, the relative abundance of mites Amblyseius sp. and Phytoseius sp. in Cilacap and Amblyseius sp. in Wonosobo also not influenced by the stage. However, different results were obtained on predatory mites Phytoseius sp. in Wonosobo, the results showed that the relative abundance of predatory mites Phytoseius sp. in the highlands (Wonosobo) was influenced by the stage.
