Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)The study entitled "Income, Consumption Pattern And Welfare Level of Stretvendors (PKL) in Laweyan Sub Distric, Surakarta City". The purpose of this study was to analyze variables that affect income, consumption patterns and welfare level of street vendors in Laweyan sub district, Surakarta city.
The population in this research is the streetvendors in Laweyan Sub district, Surakarta city. The sampling method was random sampling. Analysis tools are used multiple linear regression.
The analysis showed that the variable capital, business period, working hours and level of education jointly affect the earnings of street vendors in Laweyan sub district Surakarta. Household consumption patterns of street vendors (PKL) in Laweyan is mostly used for food consumption. Thus is because the Surakarta City Government provides financial assistance fee waivers or subsidies for health and education, so that household consumption of non-food vendors (PKL) in sub Laweyan is smaller in comparison with the consumption of food. Most of the household income of street vendors (PKL) in Laweyan meet the Living Needs (KHL), which earned income for individual is larger than the living needs (KHL). of IDR 977,859.00 > IDR 938,702.00. The number shows that the household income street vendors (PKL) is sufficient to meet the needs of decent living (KHL) in Laweyan Sub District, Surakarta.
The implication of the study was the In addition to the granting of subsidies for education and health costs to society, Governments need to give the city of Surakarta in other assistance to street vendors in the fulfillment of consumption patterns able to allocate its income to savings to improve life quality. In addition to the granting of subsidies for education and health costs to the society, Surakarta City Government needs to provide other assistance that the street vendors in fulfilling the consumption pattern may allocate income to savings in order to improve the quality of better life.
