| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar belakang: Asam urat adalah hasil akhir dari metabolisme purin, suatu bahan penting dalam tubuh sebagai komponen dari asam nukleat dan penghasil energi dalam inti sel. Berat badan yang berlebih sering dihubungkan dengan kadar asam urat serum. Obesitas atau obese merupakan masalah kesehatan yang dapat menyerang berbagai usia, termasuk usia remaja. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara indeks masa tubuh dan usia dengan kadar asam urat pada remaja pra-obese dan obese di Purwokerto. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah desain korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Responden penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 36 anak yang termasuk kategori remaja pra-obese dan obese. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Pearson Product Moment. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil uji Pearson Product Moment pada hubungan indeks masa tubuh dan kadar asam urat remaja diperoleh nilai p=0,49 dan pada hubungan usia dan kadar asam urat remaja diperoleh nilai p=0,16. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara indeks masa tubuh dan usia dengan kadar asam urat pada remaja pra-obese dan obese di Purwokerto. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Uric acid is the last product of purine metabolism, an important substance in body as a component of nucleatic acid and energy producer inside nucleus. Obesity and overweight are often correlated with serum uric acid level. Obesity or obese is a health problem which can attack every ages, includes teenage. Objective: This study is to know the correlation between body mass index and age with uric acid level at pre-obese and obese teenagers in Purwokerto. Methods: The design in this study was correlative design with cross sectional approach. The sampling method used purposive sampling. The respondents in this study were 36 students who were categorized as pre-obese and obese teenagers. Data analysis used the Pearson Product Moment statistical test. Results: The result of Pearson Product Moment test toward the correlation between body mass index and uric acid level showed p value = 0, 49 and toward the correlation between age and uric acid level showed p value = 0,16. Conclusion: There was no correlation between body mass index and age with uric acid level at pre-obese and obese teenagers in Purwokerto. |
