Penelitian ini yang berjudul “The Impact of the Beatles’ arrival to the American Society in 1964” menjelaskan bagaimana the Beatles menginvasi America secara budaya melalui fashion nya the Beatles. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan beberapa teori seperti Circuit Culture, Pop Culture, Fans Culture dan Counter-Culture. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa kedatangan the Beatles ke America pada tahun 1964 membawa pengaruh besar terhadap masyarakat amerika pada saat itu. Fashion the Beatles adalah sebuat alat yang menciptakan sebuah pengaruh secara budaya kepada warga America. Adapun rambut mop-top, pakaian the Beatles dan sepatu boot mereka adalah merupakan objek penelitian dimana itu semua berhasil mempengaruhi masyarakat amerika pada tahun 1964. Seperti yang telah dijelaskan pada bagian diskusi yaitu bahwa rambut mop-top menjadi trend baru bagi anak muda amerika. Kebanyakan mereka meniru model rambut mop-top the Beatles. Dan rambut panjang merupakan symbol kedewasaan bagi anak muda Amerika. Selain itu, pakaian dan sepatu boot the Beatles juga sangat populer diantara masyarakat Amerika pada saat itu. Pengaruh nyata the Beatles pada anak muda Amerika adalah perubahan yang terjadi pada mereka. Karena the Beatles, mereka memiliki kesan menjadi dewasa, hal ini bisa dilihat dari cara mereka berpakaian. Sebagai hasil nya, pada akhirnya the Beatles berhasil memberikan pengaruh kepada sejarah budaya Amerika pada tahun 1964. Dalam hal ini, the Beatles memberi pengaruh terhadap anak muda Amerika secara budaya melalui fashion atau penampilan mereka. Dan invasi the Beatles pada tahun 1964 di Amerika membuat the Beatles menjadi dikenal sebagai band inggris yang hebat di dunia. |

The research entitled “The Impact of the Beatles’ arrival to the American Society in 1964” explains how the Beatles invaded the America culturally through their fashion. This research employs descriptive qualitative method and some theories such as Circuit Culture, Pop Culture, Fans Culture and Counter-Culture. The result of this research describes that the Beatles’ arrival in America in 1964 indeed gave the great impacts to the American society in that time. The Beatles fashion was a tool that created an impact culturally to the American. There were the Mop-top Hair, the Suits and the Beatles’ boots, those are the object of the research that successfully influenced the people of America in 1964. As explained in the discussion chapter is that Mop-top hair became a new trend for the young teenagers. Most of them imitated the Mop-top Hair as their style. And long hair also became a symbol of manhood for the American teenager. Moreover the Suits and the Boots were also popular among the people of America in that time. The real impact of the Beatles to the teenagers was that there was a significant change to the American teenagers. Because of the Beatles, they had a new image of manhood, it can be seen from the way they dressed. As the result, finally the Beatles had successfully gave the impact to the history of American culture in 1964. In this part, the Beatles influenced the American teenagers culturally through their fashion. And the Beatles invasion in 1964 in America made the Beatles being known as the great British band in the world. |
