| Judul Artikel | KUALITAS FISIK BERAS, MUTU TANAK, DAN KADAR AMILOSA PADA LIMA GALUR PADI (Oryza sativa L.) TOLERAN SALINITAS DI KABUPATEN PURWOREJO, CILACAP DAN PEMALANG |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui perbedaan kualitas fisik beras, mutu tanak dan kadar amilosa pada lima galur padi toleran salinitas di Kabupaten Pemalang, Cilacap dan Purworejo, 2) mengetahui pengaruh lokasi tanam terhadap kualitas fisik beras, mutu tanak dan kadar amilosa lima galur padi toleran salinitas, 3) mengetahui pengaruh interaksi antara galur dengan lokasi tanam terhadap kualitas fisik beras, mutu tanak dan kadar amilosa lima galur padi toleran salinitas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2012 sampai Januari 2013 di Laboratorium Pemuliaan Tanaman dan Bioteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, dan untuk analisis kadar amilosa beras di laksanakan di Laboratorium Kimia Organik, Fakultas MIPA, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. Rancangan yang digunakan ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan 3 kali ulangan dari setiap kabupaten. Data yang dianalisis secara parametrik yaitu densitas gabah, rendemen beras giling dan kadar amilosa kemudian dianalisis dengan Analisis Varians Gabungan menggunakan program SAS versi 9. Apabila menunjukkan pengaruh nyata, maka dilakukan uji lanjut BNT 5% dengan taraf kesalahan 5%. Data yang dianalisis secara non parametrik meliputi persentase beras kepala dan mutu tanak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa densitas gabah dan kadar amilosa dipengaruhi oleh genotipe, lokasi tanam dan interaksi antara genotipe dan lokasi tanam. Lokasi tanam berpengaruh terhadap variabel yang diuji. Kabupaten Purworejo mempunyai densitas gabah, rendemen beras giling dan mutu tanak tertinggi, kemudian Cilacap dan terendah Pemalang. Namun Pemalang mempunyai kadar amilosa tertinggi kemudian Cilacap dan terendah Purworejo. Galur Unsoed 10 mempunyai hasil maksimal apabila di tanam di Purworejo. Terjadi interaksi antara genotipe dengan dengan lokasi tanam. Hasil kualitas fisik beras, mutu tanak dan kadar amilosa di setiap lokasi tanam mempunyai perbedaan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Rice is the main food of most Indonesian people. Quality selection is one of the criteria in the assembly activities yielding varieties of rice. Assessment objectively include physical quality (density of grain, 1000 grain weight, yield of milled rice, grain heads, chalk grains, and size of grains) and chemical quality (amylose, gelatinations temperature, gel consistency, nutrients or protein levels, and other ) and subjective quality assessment is more directed to the individual or community preferences. This study aimed to 1) know the differences in the grain quality, cooking quality and amylose contents of salinity tolerant five genotypes in the Purworejo, Cilacap and Pemalang, 2) know the effect of planting location to the grain quality, cooking quality and amylose contents of salinity tolerant five, genotypes, 3) know the effect of the interaction between the genotypes with the planting location on the grain quality, cooking quality and amylose contents of salinity tolerant five genotypes. The research was conducted in October 2012 to January 2013 at the Laboratory of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Agriculture Faculty, and for analysis of amylose content of rice carried on in the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry, Science Faculty, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. The design that used in this research was Random Block Design (RBD) factorial with 3 replications of each district. The data were analyzed by parametric and non-parametric. Data that analyzed by parametric include density of grain, milled rice yield and amylose content was analyzed using Analysis of Variance Combined SAS program version 9. If it shows the real effect, then tested further with LSD 5% at the error level of 5%. Data were analyzed by non -parametric include the percentage of head rice and cooking quality. The results showed that the density of grain and amylose content was influenced by genotype, planting location and the interaction between genotype and planting location. Planting locations affect the variables tested. Purworejo had the highest grain density, milled rice yield and cooking quality, then Cilacap and the lowest Pemalang. Pemalang had the highest amylose content then Cilacap and the lowest was Purworejo. Unsoed 10 had the maximum result when planted in Purworejo. Interaction between genotype with the planting location was happened. Results of the grain quality, cooking quality and amylose content in each plant location had a difference. |
