| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Data panel merupakan gabungan antara data time series dan data cross-section. Salah satu model statistik untuk data panel adalah data panel. Model random effect dapat diestimasi dengan menggunakan metode GLS. Pada penelitian ini dipelajari cara menentukan estimator GLS pada model random effect. Sebagai aplikasi, pemodelan diterapkan pada data angka kelahiran kasar dan data pengguna kontrasepsi KB (jenis suntik, pil, susuk dan MOW) di Kecamatan Bobotsari, Karanganyar, Karangreja, Kejobong, Mrebet, dan Purbalingga tahun 2007-2010. Diperoleh hasil bahwa dengan koefisien determinasi 57,4099% jenis kontrasepsi yang mempengaruhi angka kelahiran kasar adalah MOW, sedangkan yang tidak mempengaruhi adalah pil, suntik, dan susuk. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Panel data is a combination of time series and cross-section data. One of statistical models for panel data is random effect model. The model can be estimated by the GLS (Generalized Least Square) method. This research, studied how to determine the GLS estimator for random effect model. As application,the model was applied to data of the crude birth rate and the data of the number of KB user for each contraception type (injection, pills, implant and female operation) in Bobotsari, Karanganyar, Karangreja, Kejobong, Mrebet and Purbalingga for the periode 2007-2010. The result showed that the crude birth rate is only affected by the MOW contraception with the determination coefficient is 57.4099%. |
