Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini berjudul “Motilitas Dan Viabilitas Spermatozoa Ikan Mas (Cyprinus carpio) Pasca Penyimpanan Beku Dengan Penambahan Air Tebu” bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan air tebu terhadap motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa ikan mas setelah diawetkan serta perlakuan terbaiknya. Percobaan ini menggunakan RAL dengan lima perlakuan dan empat kali ulangan, yaitu P1 aquades 100%, P2 aquades 75% ditambah air tebu 25%, P3 aquades 50% ditambah air tebu 50%, P4 aquades 25% ditambah air tebu 75%, dan P5 air tebu 100%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan air tebu pada pengawetan spermatozoa berpengaruh nyata terhadap motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa ikan mas dan spermatozoa masih bertahan hidup selama pengawetan lima hari. Nilai motilitas P1 berbeda nyata dengan nilai motilitas P2, P3, P4, dan P5. Nilai viabilitas menunjukkan terdapat tiga tingkatan nilai motilitas spermatozoa, yaitu nilai terendah pada P1, lalu P2, dan nilai tertinggi pada P3, P4, dan P5. Pada P3, P4, dan P5 memiliki nilai rataan yang sama sehingga dikatakan bahwa dengan P3 hasil motilitas sudah optimal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa spermatozoa ikan mas yang diawetkan selama lima hari dengan penambahan air tebu masih dalam keadaan motil namun semakin kecil konsentrasi sari tebu semakin tinggi penurunan motilitas maupun viabilitas spermatozoa ikan mas.

Inggris)A study entitled “Motility and Viability of Carp (Cyprinus carpio) Spermatozoa Post Cryopreservation with Sugarcane Juice Addition” aimed to determine the effect of the addition of sugarcane juice to motility and viability of carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) spermatozoa post preservation and the best treatment. This experiment used Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and in quadruplication, namely P1 aquadestilate 100%, P2 aquadestilate 75% + sugarcane juice 25%, P3 aquadestilate 50% + sugarcane juice 50%, P4 aquadestilate 25% + sugarcane juice 75%, and P5 sugarcane juice 100%. The result showed that the addition of sugarcane juice to the preservation of spermatozoa significantly affected motility and viability of carp spermatozoa and still survive for five days. P1 motility values were significantly different from the value of motility P2, P3, P4, and P5. Viability value indicated that there were three levels of sperm motility values, which were the lowest value in P1 and P2, and the highest value at P3, P4, and P5. At P3, P4, and P5 had the same mean value so that it could be said that the P3 motility results were optimal. Based on the results, this study concluded that the carp spermatozoa were preserved for five days with addition of sugarcane juice were still in a state of motile but the smaller concentration of cane juice decreased motility and viability of carp spermatozo.
