| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Daun jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia) mengandung minyak atsiri yang aktif sebagai antibakteri. Minyak atsiri daun jeruk nipis kurang praktis apabila digunakan sebagai antiseptik, sehingga perlu dibuat sediaan gel antiseptik tangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formula sediaan gel daun jeruk nipis yang memenuhi syarat evaluasi sifat fisik dan stabilitas fisik selama penyimpanan serta mengetahui efektivitas antiseptik dari setiap sediaan gel. Minyak atsiri daun jeruk nipis diperoleh dengan cara destilasi uap air. Formula sediaan gel dibuat dengan variasi kadar carbopol 940 (0,5%, 1%, dan 1,5%) mengandung 1 mL minyak atsiri daun jeruk nipis. Evaluasi gel antiseptik daun jeruk nipis dilakukan pada sifat fisik dan kestabilan fisik sediaan. Pengujian efektivitas antiseptik sediaan gel dilakukan menggunakan metode replika.Data homogenitas dan stabilitas fisik sediaan gel dianalisis secara deskriptif sedangkan data pengukuran pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat, dan data hasil penurunan jumlah koloni bakteri dari setiap sediaan dianalisis dengan uji ANAVA satu arah dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua formula gel memenuhi syarat stabilitas fisik dengan viskositas sediaan mengalami penurunan selama penyimpanan. Daya sebar sediaan gel selama penyimpanan mengalami peningkatan seiring penurunan viskositas, sebaliknya daya lekat mengalami penurunan selama penyimpanan seiring penurunan viskositas. Semua sediaan gel menunjukkan efektivitas antiseptik. Efektivitas antiseptik tertinggi diperoleh pada Formula I yaitu 74,89% yang tidak jauh berbeda dengan kontrol positif yang mampu menurunkan jumlah koloni sebesar 86,67% dari kontrol negatif yang digunakan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Leaf lime (Citrus aurantifolia) is known to contain essential oils that are active as antibacterial. The essential oils of leaf lime less practicial when used as an antiseptic, so it is necessary to be made antiseptic hand gel preparation. This research aims to create formula gel preparations leaf lime qualified evaluation of the physical properties and physical stability during storage as well as knowing the effectiveness of antiseptic gel preparations of each. Volatile oil leaf lime are distilled by distillation of steam. The formulation of gels were prepared with variations in the levels of carbopol 940 (0.5%, 1%, and 1,5%) contain 1 mL of essential oil of leaf lime. The gel evaluated about the physical properties and stability.Testing the effectiveness of an antiseptic preparation gel is carried out by replicamethods. Homogeneity and stability physical gel in the preparation of descriptive analyzed while pH measurement, viscosity, spread power, adhesion, and data results a decrease the number of colonies of bacteria of any preparations are analyzed using one way ANAVA test with the confidence 95%. The results showed that all gel preparation qualified physical stability with viscosity preparations decreased during storage. Power gel preparations during the spread increased storage over a decrease in viscosity, otherwise the power loss during storage latched onto as a decrease in viscosity. All gel preparation show the effectiveness of antiseptic gels. Effectiveness of antiseptic formula I highest obtained at that 74,89% is not much different with the positive control is capable of lowering the number of colonies of 86,67% of the negative control is used. |
