| Judul Artikel | ANALISIS FASIES, LINGKUNGAN PENGENDAPAN DAN SIFAT PETROFISIKA PADA RESERVOAR FORMASI SIHAPAS, LAPANGAN “MND”, CEKUNGAN SUMATERA TENGAH |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The Central Sumatra Basin is one of the most productive back-arc basins in Indonesia, where the Malacca Strait area targets the sandstone layers of the Sihapas Group as its primary reservoir. This study in the "MND" Field was conducted by integrating depositional environment facies analysis and quantitative petrophysical evaluation to minimize uncertainty in identifying prospective zones (net pay). The methodology encompasses qualitative and quantitative analyses of 4 well log data. Based on electrofacies analysis, the Sihapas Formation in the study area is divided into two main depositional environments: Tide-Dominated Estuary and Shelf, comprising Distributary Channel, Stacked Distributary Channel, Tidal Bar, Tidal Flat, , and Mud Shelf facies. Petrophysical evaluation results indicate that reservoir quality is significantly controlled by the depositional energy of each respective facies. The Tidal Bar and Stacked Tidal Channel facies, deposited under high-energy regimes driven by tidal currents, display the best reservoir quality. Conversely, the Distributary Channel facies formed under the influence of high-energy carries organic debris and a dominance of high water saturation (Sw) that fails to meet the net pay cut-off criteria. Meanwhile, the Shelf Facies (Mud Shelf) exhibits the lowest reservoir quality due to the dominance of low energy silt-mud deposits. Overall, the most prospective reservoir interval acting as a laterally continuous net pay is concentrated within the tide-dominated facies in the middle to lower sections of the Sihapas Formation. |
