Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh suplementasi kombinasi tepung daun waru (Hibiscus tiliaceus; TDW) dan tepung daun bambu (Gigantochloa apus; TDB) terhadap kecernaan nutrien dan pemanfaatan nitrogen pada domba yang diberi jerami padi amoniasi (JPA) dan konsentrat pada taraf rendah. Sebanyak 24 ekor domba lokal Indonesia berumur 12-18 bulan, dengan bobot badan (BB) rata-rata 26,68 ± 2,58 kg dialokasikan secara acak untuk menerima salah satu dari empat perlakuan pakan: P0 (JPA ad libitum terkontrol + konsentrat 1,5% BB berdasarkan BK); P1 (P0 + 1,2 g TDW + 1,9 g TDB/kg BK konsentrat); P2 (P0 + 2,4 g TDW + 1,3 g TDB/kg BK konsentrat); P3 (P0 + 3,6 g TDW + 0,65 g TDB/kg BK konsentrat), dengan enam ekor domba per perlakuan dalam rancangan acak lengkap. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey HSD. Perlakuan tidak memengaruhi konsumsi nutrien pakan, kecernaan bahan kering, bahan organik, dan serat kasar, serta sintesis protein mikroba (P > 0,05). Namun, perlakuan berpengaruh terhadap kecernaan protein kasar, nitrogen feses, nitrogen tercerna, nitrogen urin, retensi nitrogen, pemanfaatan nitrogen bersih, dan nilai biologis (P < 0,01). Disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi 3,6 g TDW dan 0,65 g TDB/kg BK konsentrat menghasilkan respons terbaik terhadap kecernaan PK dan pemanfaatan nitrogen domba.

Inggris)This study evaluated the effects of combined supplementation with waru leaf meal (Hibiscus tiliaceus; WLM) and bamboo leaf meal (Gigantochloa apus; BLM) on nutrient digestibility and nitrogen utilisation in sheep fed ammoniated rice straw (ARS) and a low level of concentrate. Twenty-four Indonesian local male sheep aged 12–18 months, with an initial body weight (BW) of 26.68 ± 2.58 kg, were randomly allocated to one of four dietary treatments in a completely randomised design, with six sheep per treatment: T0 (controlled ad libitum ARS + concentrate at 1.5% BW on a dry matter (DM) basis); T1 (T0 + 1.2 g WLM + 1.95 g BLM/kg concentrate DM); T2 (T0 + 2.4 g WLM + 1.3 g BLM/kg concentrate DM); and T3 (T0 + 3.6 g WLM + 0.65 g BLM/kg concentrate DM). Data were analysed by analysis of variance followed by Tukey’s honestly significant difference test. Treatments did not affect nutrient intake, dry matter, organic matter or crude fibre digestibility, or microbial protein synthesis (P > 0.05). However, crude protein digestibility, faecal nitrogen, digested nitrogen, urinary nitrogen, nitrogen retention, net nitrogen utilisation and biological value were affected by treatment (P < 0.01). Among the combinations tested, supplementation with 3.6 g WLM and 0.65 g BLM/kg concentrate DM produced the most favourable response in crude protein digestibility and nitrogen utilisation.
