Judul ArtikelANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL LITERACY AND DEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS ON THE INVESTMENT DECISIONS OF GENERATION Z AND MILLENNIALS IN CIREBON REGENCY
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)This study analyzes the influence of financial literacy and demographic factors on the investment decisions of Generation Z and Millennials within the trader and investor community in Cirebon Regency. The study is motivated by the high level of regional investment realization (Rp4.02 trillion), which has not been matched by adequate human resource readiness, as reflected in the region's average years of schooling falling below the provincial and national averages, alongside a gap between the financial inclusion index (80.51%) and financial literacy index (66.46%) reported by OJK and BPS's SNLIK (2025). Financial literacy (financial knowledge, behavior, and attitude) and demographic factors (age, education, and income) were positioned as independent variables, with investment decisions as the dependent variable. Through purposive sampling, 155 respondents were obtained from the Generation Z and Millennial trader and investor community in Cirebon Regency. Likert-scale questionnaire data were transformed into an interval scale using the Method of Successive Interval (MSI) and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS 27. The results show that financial knowledge, financial attitude, and income have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions, whereas financial behavior, age, and education level do not. Income is the most dominant variable, followed by financial attitude and financial knowledge. Simultaneously, all variables have a significant effect, with the model explaining 73.4% of the variance in investment decisions.
