| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Bawang daun (Allium fistulosum) merupakan komoditas hortikultura yang banyak dibudidayakan di dataran tinggi karena responsif terhadap suhu rendah, kelembaban tinggi, dan intensitas cahaya yang optimal. Peningkatan produksi selama ini bergantung pada pemupukan NPK sintetis, yang jika digunakan terus-menerus berpotensi menurunkan efisiensi pemupukan dan mengganggu kualitas lingkungan. Salah satu alternatif untuk mengurangi ketergantungan tersebut adalah aplikasi Photosynthetic Bacteria (PSB). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi PSB, pengurangan dosis NPK sintetis, serta interaksi keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang daun. Penelitian dilaksanakan di screenhouse kelompok tani Desa Serang, Kecamatan Karangreja, Kabupaten Purbalingga, serta Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, pada September 2025–Januari 2026, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan dua faktor: dosis PSB (0, 10, 20 mL/L air) dan pengurangan dosis NPK sintetis (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%). Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, bobot segar dan kering tanaman, bobot segar akar, panjang akar, diameter pseudotunggang, dan kadar klorofil total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengurangan dosis NPK sintetis tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh variabel pertumbuhan dan hasil. Aplikasi PSB dosis 20 mL/L berpengaruh nyata meningkatkan panjang daun pada umur 4, 6, dan 8 MST, sedangkan variabel lain tidak berbeda nyata. Tidak ditemukan interaksi nyata antara PSB dan pengurangan dosis NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang daun. |

Inggris) | Welsh onion (Allium fistulosum) was a horticultural commodity widely cultivated in highland areas due to its responsiveness to cool temperatures, high humidity, and optimal light intensity. Production improvement had relied on high doses of synthetic NPK fertilizer, which, when applied continuously, potentially reduced fertilization efficiency and disrupted environmental quality. One alternative to reduce this dependency was the application of Photosynthetic Bacteria (PSB). This study aimed to determine the effects of PSB application, reduced synthetic NPK dose, and their interaction on the growth and yield of welsh onion. The study was conducted in a screenhouse belonging to a farmer group in Serang Village, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency, and at the Laboratory of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, from September 2025 to January 2026, using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors: PSB dose (0, 10, and 20 mL/L water) and synthetic NPK dose reduction (0%, 25%, 50%, and 75%). Observed variables included plant height, leaf length, number of leaves, number of tillers, fresh and dry plant weight, fresh root weight, root length, pseudostem diameter, and total chlorophyll content. Results showed that reducing the synthetic NPK dose had no significant effect on any growth or yield variable. PSB application at 20 mL/L significantly increased leaf length at 4, 6, and 8 weeks after planting (WAP), while other variables showed no significant differences. No significant interaction was found between PSB application and NPK dose reduction on welsh onion growth and yield.
