Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Produktivitas tanaman padi dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kesuburan tanah, terutama ketersediaan sulfur (S) dan kandungan C-organik yang berperan dalam penyediaan unsur hara serta perbaikan kualitas tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status sulfur tersedia dan C-organik tanah, menganalisis hubungan kedua parameter tersebut terhadap hasil tanaman padi, serta menyusun rekomendasi pemupukan pada lahan sawah DAS Serayu Tengah Kecamatan Purwanegara Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan purposive random sampling berdasarkan Satuan Lahan Homogen (SLH). Sampel tanah diambil pada kedalaman 0–25 cm dan 25–50 cm, kemudian dianalisis terhadap pH H₂O, pH KCl, daya hantar listrik, potensial redoks, kapasitas tukar kation, kejenuhan basa, sulfur tersedia, C-organik, serta hasil tanaman padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan sulfur tersedia pada seluruh lokasi termasuk kriteria sangat tinggi, sedangkan C-organik tanah berada pada kriteria sedang. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan sulfur tersedia dan C-organik memiliki hubungan yang lemah terhadap hasil tanaman padi. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, pemupukan sulfur tidak diperlukan, sedangkan penambahan bahan organik tetap direkomendasikan untuk mempertahankan kesuburan tanah dan produktivitas lahan.

Inggris)Rice productivity is strongly influenced by soil fertility, particularly available sulfur (S) and soil organic carbon, which play important roles in nutrient availability and soil quality improvement. This study aimed to evaluate the status of available sulfur and soil organic carbon, determine their relationship with rice yield, and formulate fertilization recommendations for paddy fields in the Middle Serayu Watershed, Purwanegara District, Banjarnegara Regency. A survey method with purposive random sampling based on Homogeneous Land Units (HLUs) was employed. Soil samples were collected at depths of 0–25 cm and 25–50 cm and analyzed for soil pH, electrical conductivity, redox potential, cation exchange capacity, base saturation, available sulfur, soil organic carbon, and rice yield. The results indicated that available sulfur was classified as very high, whereas soil organic carbon was generally classified as moderate. Correlation analysis showed weak relationships between available sulfur, soil organic carbon, and rice yield. Therefore, sulfur fertilization is unnecessary, while organic matter application is recommended to maintain soil fertility and sustainable rice production.
