| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Lipas merupakan salah satu serangga hama pemukiman dan berpotensi menjadi vektor mekanik agen penyakit. Keberadaannya pada segmentasi komersial dapat mengganggu dari aspek Kesehatan, ekonomi dan estetika sehingga perlu dikendalikan. Upaya pengendalian yang efektif perlu didahului inspeksi dan monitoring terhadap jenis, komposisi, serta Tingkat populasinya. Pada segmentasi komersial, lipas umumnya dijumpai di area dapur/tenant makanan, tempat pembuangan sampah, Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL), maupun area lain yang mendukung ketersediaan pakan dan tempat bersarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi, kelimpahan dan indeks populasi lipas pada segmentasi komersial di Kota Purwokerto. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan teknik purposive sampling pada delapan lokasi segmentasi komersial di Kota Purwokerto (L1-L8). Penelitian dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan, sedangkan pemasangan jebakan pasa setiap sesi pengambilan sampel dilakukan selama tiga malam dengan lima kali ulangan pada masing-masing lokasi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada dua area pengamatan yaitu indoor dan outdoor menggunakan metode jebakan berumpan dan vacuuming. Data komposisi dan kelimpahan lipas dianalisis secara deskriptif serta dihitung indeks populasi (IP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lipas yang tertangkap terdiri atas dua spesies, yaitu Periplaneta americana dan Blatella germanica dengan total 205 individu. P. americana merupakan spesies yang paling dominan dengan jumlah 118 individu (57,56%), sedangkan B. germanica berjumlah 87 individu (42,44%). P. americana lebih banyak ditemukan pada area outdoor seperti IPAL/area penyimpanan, sedangkan B. germanica lebih dominan pada area indoor terutama dapur/tenant makanan. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’) sebesar 0,68, menunjukkan keanekaragaman rendah hingga sedang dengan dominansi P. americana. Nilai indeks populasi (IP) berkisar antara 0,0-9,0, dengan IP tertinggi pada L1 (tenant) sebesar 9,0, diikuti L3 (IPAL) sebesar 98,5 dan L1 (IPAL) sebesar 7,6. Berdasarkan klasifikasi Permenkes No.2 Tahun 2023, lokasi dengan IP > 5 termasuk kategori investasi tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya variasi tingkat infestasi lipas antar lokasi pada segmentasi komersial di Kota Purwokerto. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Cockroaches are one of the major urban insect pests and have the potential to act as mechanical vectors of disease causing agents. Their presence in commercial areas may adversely affect public health, economic activities and environmental aesthetics, making ffective control measures essential. Effective cockroach management should be preceded by inspection and monitoring of species composition, abundance and population index. In commercial settings, cockroaches are commonly found in kitchens or food stalls, waste sisposal areas, wastewater treatment facilities (WWTPs) and other locations that provide food sources and suitable harborages. This study aimed to determine the species composition, abundance and population index of cockroaches in commercial areas of Purwokerto City. This study employed a survey method using purposive sampling at eight commercial sites (L1-L8) in Purwokerto City. The study was conducted over a three month period. During each sampling session, traps were deployed for three consecutive nights with five replications at each site. Cockroach sampling was carried out in both indoor and outdoor areas using baited traps and a vacuuming method. Data on species composition and abundance were analyzed descriptively and the population index (PI) was calculated. The results showed a total of 205 cockroaches belonging to two species, Periplaneta americana and Blattella germanica, were collected. P. americana was the dominant species, accounting for 118 individuals (57,56%), whereas B. germanica comprised 87 individuals (42,44%). P. americana was predominantly found in outdoor areas, such as wastewater treatment facilities and storage areas, while B. germanica was more abundant in indoor areas, particularly kitchens and food stalls. The Shannnon Wiener diversity index (H’) was 0,68, indicating low to moderate species diversity with the dominance of P. americana. The population index (PI) ranged from 0,0 to 9,0, with the highest PI recorded at L1 (food stall) was 9,0, followed by L3 (wastewater treatment facility) was 8,5 and L1 (wastewater treatment facility) was 7,6. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2023, locations with a PI greater than 5 are classified as having high infestation level. These findings indicate variations in cockroach infestation levels among commercial areas in Purwokerto City.
